The "roe" is really a cool reaction as well and if all it was, was that, it'd still be worth it. The instructions are obviously not in English, but the pictures are easy enough to follow. (Plus, you can also watch someone make it on Youtube as well if you need help). Flavor-wise, the "seaweed" part was my favorite flavor/texture. The "roe" was also pretty good. The egg and salmon had a gritty texture, almost like applesauce. The rice was just sweet, but fun to play with. I wouldn't crave this, but you're really getting the experience of making the sushi rather than looking for a great tasting candy. Shipping speed was also quite reasonable, as well. It's just a little fun treat to every once in a while. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Japanese "candy" Sushi making kit *by R***R on December 12, 2013* Our 18 year old granddaughter loves anything "Japanese" and was hoping for a play-set of the "real" Japanese style candy-making kits. This is a Christmas gift, and I am glad I ordered early as it took over 3 weeks for its shipment to arrive and, unlike another product from this company which arrived well-packaged in bubble wrap, this one came in a torn manila envelope, taped around the package with no bubble wrap or other protective packing. It looked like the outer package may have been opened for inspection but the inner actual package was intact. We had to laugh as there was a "billing slip enclosed with the package which "boasted of how the packages from this company are sent securely packaged and protected"... Sorry, but a torn manila envelop wrapped around the item doesn't count as secure packaging! As it comes from Japan, there is also no way to track the package and, unlike other Amazon purchases which wait close to when they actually ship the item to charge you for it... we were charged at the time of order, not really knowing when/if the item would ship, or when/if it would arrive. Other than that it is a cute little item and if you can put up with the uncertainty of the packaging (as another product from this same company arrived well packaged with bubble-wrap).
