This is a very nice piece of metal. Sturdy, heavy and shiny. The edges of the tamp are slightly too rounded personally so it doesn’t quite push down the edges and leaves a slight ring of coffee in the basket. But for the price this is a lovely bit of kit. I would recommend.

Bought this to use in a 51mm basket. Unfortunately the basket has to be full as the tamper doesn’t go far enough into the basket to tamp if it is not full. I need to change my recipes to make good use of it. Of course it may be the basket is undersize!!

Absolutely perfect fit for the 51mm basket on my cuisinart espresso machine. The weight alone is about enough to give it a good tamping and it's beautifully finished.

This is 49mm (50mm at a push) so I'm returning it - the whole point of ordering a tamper of a specific size, is to get that specific size...
