The design of this security cable can be broadly applied to iPods, iPads, Remote Controls, Mobile Phones PDA’s, and many more small electronic devices. The recoiling box is made of ABS plastic, with a stainless steel cable winding reel on the inside. The box can be mounted on any flat surface using the adhesive tape (or screws not included). The box can be hidden on the back of a display cabinet.

Yes it keeps things tethered, but looks messy
In the photo it looks like the metal sticky plate has a divot that mates to the round black base. I imagined that this would keep the item somewhat flat on the base when the cable was retracted. That's not true at all. The cable is retracted into the size of the anchor pad, so really the phone or remote control or whatever you're trying to secure just rests at a weird angle and looks messy.

Nice design and cable length
Nice design and cable length. The part you put on the device is bendable so you can make it conform if needed. I used this to tether a Samsung remote that kept "getting legs" at a community center. The 3M adhesive is good, but with enough pulling it was coming off the remote. So last time it came off.. added a bit of super glue gel and slapped it back on. END of problem.

Perfect for Tour buses tiny remote
I bought few these to keep those small remote controls from dispappearing in our fleet of motorcoaches. So far they held on even in extreme summer temperature here in Las Vegas. The rectangular metal is soft enough to bend it so it'll blend on to the curvy back surface of the remote. It's perfect for what I needed it for.
