Because I grow my own southwestern and Mexican peppers as well as my own basil from multiple varieties (Italy, Africa, Thailand), I definitely know that sometimes the very special experience of a specific recipe is something as small as a single ingredient. So I knew I had to buy this. I have been delighted! Not only do I use it in the recipes I bought it for, I have also used it on things like scrambled eggs, adding a pinch to a sandwich, using it with pasta and tomato sauce, and even dropping some in a lemonade. I can tell you that the friends and family that I’ve cooked for and shared this with even in simple things like pasta have really remarked upon how it has an extra added flair. This pepper is not too hot, but the heat it does have is very short-lived compared to the heat other peppers. **Q: Why does it say paprika in the ingredients? That's not the same as a the kashmiri chili.**
A: You are correct, it is not the same at all.  We had one batch where we had an error on the ingredients.  It is in fact Kashmiri Chilli Powder (we actually do sell whole Kashmiri chilli as well), we have since corrected the labeling issue and all new batches past May 20, 2019 should have the correct labeling.

**Q: Making sure no onion or garlic in it. Here in the U.S. chili powder does.**
A: just chilli powder, no other ingredients.

**Q: What is the shelf life of this powder?**
A: About 18 months.

**Q: Is there artificial red color added to enhance the redness**
A: No, I think that the Indian spices may naturally be red like turmeric.
