How can I tell if I need a 24v or 12v? Its for a 24v scissor lift.

It’s a 24 volt system, you will burn out the circuit board with a 12 volt connector

Is this an 18 mm din ? also it states 12/24 but one of the answers says 12 vdc only , does it work with 24 vdc?

That DIN Connector used to be only 12V compatible, but we have since gotten a new version that is compatible with both 12V and 24V. It is made for use on all 3-prong Solenoid Connectors.

Is there a connector in the #3 position?

Yes, Pin 3 is Ground and has a connector in the socket.

Can outside cover be turned 180 ?

I believe so. You have to take it apart and rotate the inner parts then you can rotate the cover portion of it 180 degrees
