Good product
I was planning to purchase Rockville power amp for half the price, but after doing some research and found Rockville product spec is not as it claimed. I decide to go with this amp and very satisfy with Crown by Harman product, the amp is given you a clear detail of the music as some others have reviewed, on the top of increase the power out put. I'm highly recommend, yes it's expensive for home use but I'm sure you won't disappoint it.

No power
Purchased an open box that was supposed to be in excellent condition. Amp would not even power on. Returned for refund.

GREAT FOR SUBS BUT CHECK THE POWER CONNECTION
OK so many have told me I'm imagining things so I decided to show the proof. My XLi3500 came with a 20 amp socket for the power cord. Luckily it also came with an unusual power cord hat has the 20 amp connecter on the amp end but a regular 15 amp (standard wall socket) plug on the wall end. I don't have 20 amp sockets in my house so I can't use my big aftermarket power cords. Pangea makes one for this but it's a few hundred bux.The amp doesn't have feet so I used the heavy duty rubber feet for washing machines, Amazon has several to choose from and they are every bit as good as expensive 'audiophile' feet. This amp has some hiss at the tweeter on full range speakers, it get loud without strain of course but it's not a hifi amp by any means. For big subs it is in command, it puts out tons of current to my two Dayton Ultimax 18s in the theater room. For loud movies it's too much power, I have the gains down below the 12 o'clock position and still turned my processor sub level down about 4db. The fan is inaudible with music playing, quieter than my AC vents when they are blowing. If you need a cost effective stereo amp go with the XLi2500 or XLS1502 / XLS2002, they all have more power than anyone will need for music. The lightweight XLS series sounds night and day better than the XLi series with music/movies and you can put five XLS amps in a room without tripping breakers as might happen with several big XLi amps. Some say the XLi series is a big step up when driving subs but keep in mind you can't bridge them on a 4 ohm sub. They will of course power a pair of 4 ohm subs no problem. I had a pair of XLS2502 amps each one bridged on a single Ultimax 18 and I can't say the XLi3500 powering these two subs in stereo is night and day better, time will tell. I am a big Crown fan but the QSC GX5 sounds better for full range music and they now have very quiet fans compared to about 8 years back.

Great so far
This amp works for its intended purpose well. I wish it was capable of running at 2ohm, but my sub can be rewired to 8ohm easy enough.Be mindful that this amp does not have a remote trigger. I used an Etoolcity Automatic Vacuum Switch to trigger it on and off with my AVR.
