iCraft Deco Foil, 5 Transfer Sheets, 6" x 12", Opal

I usually use the laser printer/laminator method to apply Deco Foil and unlike the other colors, Opal is a bit translucent and works more like a patterned overlay compared to completely covering the toner underneath. Typically for foiling, one would just print out something in only black but I experimented printing other colors and the results are so pretty looking with the opal on top! If your laser printer only prints black, the opal does look nice over black toner as well.

Works as advertised. Beautiful color and a good way to add appeal to your projects. I would suggest trying different methods of use to determine which one you like or work

It doesn't really show up if you foil lines. This one is better seen if you foil a large area like a square or oval with an entire sheet of it. Otherwise, the white irridescent glow doesn't really stand out against white paper.Foiling this onto black card stock works well.

I really thought it was a joke when I received this item not worth the money at all. This will work if you are doing a very small project. To expensive for what you receive.

I have this brand of foil in lots of different colors, including Opal. It's super shiny and easy to use. I use the toner/laminator method, and sometimes I don't get complete coverage on my papercrafts, but all in all, I'm very pleased with this product. I'm kind of new to papercrafting, but I love how I can enhance my homemade greeting cards with foil to give them a very professional, non-homemade, appearance. I use a Brother laser printer, and a 3M laminator, and this method works pretty well for most applications. I do notice that the foil sometimes does not adhere perfectly to areas of large print, but as long as I use more intricate, detailed print, the foil performs beautifully!

Compared to the Minc foils the Deco Foils are thicker and also achieve better results. I have a Heidi Swapp Minc machine, but the Deco Foils have consistently performed much better compared to the Minc Foils. In the twenty or so experiments comparing the two, the Deco Foils always proved better in my personal opinion.
