😭💔❤️
This story hits all the feels. Youll get lost in the pages within minutes and not want to put the book down. I love how the story is told by both mother and daughter. Teenagers struggling through trauma and hormones, mum wanting to protect while struggling through life's battles. Just brilliant.

It is tear-jerking story which is definitely worth a read!
Colleen Hoover’s stories frequently encourage the reader to journey through a plethora of emotions while reading. Regretting You is no different. The story followers a mother and daughter as they endeavour to find their way after substantial grief. The prologue, set seventeen years earlier, swiftly introduces four of the central characters. The pace is crisp, and I was captivated from the very beginning. The transition into present day is smooth and engaging. I was surprised that the twist appeared so soon. Typically, I am halfway through a Hoover book assuming I know what will happen only to find out that my theories were inaccurate. Not this story. From the first few chapters I was proven wrong, and from then I just decided to trust the narrative. The dual mother/daughter POV is my favourite creative decision throughout. Allowing the reader to experience the perspective of Morgan and Clara as they both attempt to heal is utterly heart-breaking at times. It was essential to experience how each protagonist dealt with their grief differently and explore the justification behind their actions to one another. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It didn’t make it into my top three Hoover books, but it is tear-jerking story which is definitely worth a read!

Regretting You
God, this book. You just know when picking up a Colleen Hoover book that you’re going to be left amazed. It was different from what I usually read, but that’s what I love and appreciate about this author. This storyline dragged a myriad of emotions from me. I found myself laughing one minute (the ending, orange!), welling up in the next, smiling, frowning, grinning, scowling. It all happened. The character development was perfect; I love the separate romances, Morgan and Jonah, Miller and Clara. And gramps! We cannot forget gramps. It was different. That’s one vital point about Colleen, her books are never the same and you seldom ever come across a storyline similar to the ones she’s written. Most importantly, I loved the message between mother and daughter. It was realistic and raw and equally sad, but I think Colleen demonstrated authenticity when regarding youngish mothers and their teen daughters. She showed the struggles and conflicts, challenging yet unconditional love. We were shown how Morgan became a young mum, her relationship to husband, Chris, and how she selflessly prioritised her child. How she put her family before her own ambitions and desires. Even though Morgan and Clara momentarily drifted apart, they both loved and respected each other enough to find their ways back. It kind of made me sad that Morgan took the brunt of Clara’s pain and frustration, but the anguish was necessary, I suppose. I also think the male Heros in this book handled both Morgan and Clara exceptionally well. I felt sorry for them on many occasion, but love how strong and resilient they remained—I guess they loved their girls that much, enough to power through and hold out for their yearned happily-ever-afters. I can’t even put this book into a proper review. As always, Colleen deserves all the stars. I do wish, however, that the author would consider writing series again. Her books are so intense and gripping that when they’re over, I’m left deflated because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. Please, Colleen! Remember slammed? You granted us, readers, three beautiful books! I beg you bestow more as we’re in love with your standalone novels, but we’re greedy!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟 Now I’m left to fossick through my kindle with a silly face. What do I read now?

OK but a little juvenile
A "nice" read but certainly not her best. A believable story and characters well developed. I actually liked all of them and was rooting for Clara and Miller, whilst feeling so sorry for Morgan and Joshua. Satisfactory ending but just left me feeling "Meh". Could have been a YA book. I've read a few of CH's but this was the weakest so far.

Enjoyable story
Very enjoyable read, great flow, engaging until the end. Not the most exciting book I've read but a great twist early on and very thought provoking throughout. As a mother to only one daughter it really got me thinking about the dynamics in that relationship. I really enjoyed it and would recommend this book as an easy read.

Book review
Its a good book, with a good story line. But I feel it'd be 5 stars if she had explored the relationship between the sister and the husband and also if she would have read the letters
