THICKER COTTON CHURIDAR
This brand of churidar are woven of thicker cotton, this is suitable for colder weather rather than to be worn in the summer heat - these churidar fit more like leggings do, being snug-fitting from waist to kneeI have seen a lot of reviews about churidar by American buyers who are unaware that Indian churidar are not the same garment as American leggings, they have a different purpose. Churidar are a type of salwar (lowers) designed to be worn primarily under a kurta (a long tunic) - in India, salwar are never worn as 'pants', i.e., a leg-enclosing garment meant to be visible from waist to ankle, and made of non-transparent fabric There are no 'pants' in Indian clothing - salwar, including churidar, are a type of lower garment always worn underneath a covering upper garment, either a kurta (long straight tunic), an anarkali (long, full-skirted dress) or a lehenga (long, full skirt), with only a portion of the salwar visible below the upper garment - the portion not visible is cut like a loose undergarment (such as boxers or tap pants), for in India garments are not made to be tight or snug-fitting around the waist, the hip, the upper legSince India is quite hot, the many different styles of salwar are all cut very loose, and are usually one size only, are closed w/a drawstring, it doesn't matter how loosely or unattractively the salwar fits around the hip as only the lower portion is visible below the knee-length or longer kurta. The other primary reason why salwar are cut so loose or full is to facilitate ease of sitting, the normal way of sitting for Indians is cross-legged, either on the floor or couch, even when having meals it is normal to sit on the floor cross-leggedMost (but not all) clothing made in India is of very thin fabric for the climate is quite hot - Indian clothing is sold in U.S. markets (such as Amazon) for the millions of Indian diaspora who want to wear Indian (not Western) clothing - American buyers who decide to buy Indian clothing need to be aware of the differences between standard Indian garments and their own clothingChuridar today is now being cut both very loose from waist to knee, or more snug-fitting like leggings, there is no 'right' or 'wrong' type of cutChuridar are very, very long in the leg, this is so the bottom part around the ankle can attractively bunch up, look more closely at the photos & you'll see this - the bunching of long salwar at ankle or the bunching of long sleeves at wrist is a Mughal Empire fashion designs, this is probably the biggest difference between leggings and churidarChuridar salwar have been around for a few hundred years, only in the last several years or so have they been available for purchase on various U.S. websites such as Amazon - while churidar at first glance look identical to leggings, you can see they are not quite the same

Quality Churidar
5'7/120lbs. "ONE SIZE" fit like nice cotton tights/leggings, snug but not tight. These are Churidar; however, they are not tights and definitely not Western leggings or workout wear. The top is designed for movement and cross-legged sitting (a bit looser) and more importantly for wear under a long tunic, dress, or top that covers the butt/upper thighs. They are slighrly thicker than the average tee shirt weight in sweatpants material, opaque retaining modesty, but form fitting and good for cooler weather wear. I bought red, tan, and aqua. The aqua and tan were a little itchy, the red wasn't. I'm guessing after first wash all will be equal. Hand wash and hang to dry to avoid shrinkage.

Bad leggings
These words the worst leggings I've ever received. They may be a two star if you were pregnant. There was literally no tag inside them and front was cut the same as the buttocks part. I'm 6 ft tall with a 36 inch inseam and they were too long and from the knee area down we're so tight I could really get them on. I definitely do not recommend these leggings. The only thing good about them was the color was right. That's why I gave them one star.

Fit is good
They do fit. It was hard to tell by previous reviews as some said yes and some said no.

Too small
One size is supposed to be standard size. But, this one was much smaller. Looks good, but, too small!

Quality isn't bad, but SUPER small
The fabric is nice, but the item description said these would fit up to a 42" waist. What I got appears to be a child size? They're long enough, but even with the waistband stretched to the max, it's barely 20", let alone 42". The legs are also very skinny, and the fabric doesn't have enough stretch to compensate. I offered these to a slightly underweight friend (5' 7", 126 pounds), and they were too tight on her as well.

Disappointed
I was disappointed in the "fit". May be just the way the material feels but I was not a fan.
