I was looking for the good well made Hot Knife Foam Cutter. I purchased this about a month ago and have cut different types of foam. My hobby is building /modifying RC airplanes. The Foam Cutter is very easy to use if your a beginner or experienced. It cuts very nice clean edges, as you can see from the photos I cut the fake door out of the Flyzone DHC-2 Beaver. When the wings are on you can't get your hand in the top to work on stuff. I highly recommend this Hot Knife Foam Cutter, it feels good in the hand and is built well. It Heats very fast for quick cuts, it has a temp control on the top to control the amount of heat you want. It has made my foam RC planes work easier. This Hot Knife Foam Cutter can be used for any kind of foam work you can think of. You just can't go wrong with this cutter.My Name is Ken and I am very happy with this!

Good product but incomplete

Received this hot knife last week and used it to finish a RC airplane made from foam board. I started it with another hot knife I had, but when I received this C&S hot knife it works great. I like the thinner blades and the balance in the handle. It was easy to learn how fast to cut after you set the desired temp.I would like to see them add numbers on the temp dial. I like it much better than my other two hot knives with thicker blades.

Works well

i had to cut some 2" rigid foam insulation, and thought this would be better than my dewalt snap blade. stick with the snap blade. this things cuts well on styrofoam, but not on rigid foam. not hot enough.

I've use it on everything from thin foam board for RC planes, to insulation. It feels good in the hand seems to be built well. Heats very fast for quick cuts. Happy customer!

The CS-500 was very easy to use right out of the box with good results! Heats up fast and controllable! I even cut as straight of a line as one can cut with one hand! I have big ideas for this tool during the winter. Thank you C&S.

This thing is awesome! Cuts styrofoam like butter. Leaves a nice smooth edge is easy to set up and use. Also very easy to control and maintain big thumbs up👍🏻
