It worked good as replacements on both my older Chilton & my newer Scepter Gas cans.The only issue I had was that even with the vent cap installed above the full gas level of can, the vent cap still leaks, just a tiny amount when transporting. Probably due to the sloshing motion created by movement. A better design, or perhaps suppling a fuel resistant adhesive, could prevent this issue.It doesn't come with a drill supplied, nor did the instructions offer what size drill to use, to make an opening for the vent. So I measured the vent, and ended up uising a 1/2" drill bit. The newer Scepter gas cans don't originally have a vent. However, I found by holding the empty can upside down, it helps to keep the drilled out plastic shavings from ending up inside of the can. Most newer gas cans of this brand of gas cans have a built in screen that can't be easily removed. Nor would I want a can without a screen to risk getting unwanted debris into the gas I'm putting in my car, or any other gas power devices.
