Great for the Science Fair
My daughter used this kit for her Chemistry Science fair project. We both were impressed that we could acutally see the blue light very clearly. Is was so bright that she was able to take pictures with her camera and the blue light showed very well in the pictures. The process was easy to follow. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and it was a great experiment and the price was awesome.

Very exciting
My students love this kit. It worked very well and demonstrated the reactions easily. The documentation included was helpful and gave us a good scientific starting point. There were enough chemicals for us. However, they didn't store well, so I was unable to use the kit after a few weeks. That was the only downside for me.

great for science fair-quick experiment
This was a great kit. You can do several different experiments from the kit. We used the one for how the cold/hot temperatures affect the glow of Luminol. The experiment was interesting and could be carried out in only an hour or so.We used the google science journal app with this kit which made calculating the data super easy. Have fun!

Great fun
This product worked great. I saw a Luminol experiment preformed in my chemistry class and decided too look it up and found this neat item. I wanted to get one for my cousins for Christmas they loved it and I ended up getting one for myself has plenty of chemicals in it to do multiple experiments and is tons of fun.

Complete Disappointment
I have been a science teacher for nearly 20 years. I had originally purchased this product years back from a biological supply company. It was an incredible product! So when I saw that Amazon had it with "Prime" delivery, I jumped at the opportunity to make the purchase for my forensic science club. Since I used the product before, I knew what to expect, but I wound up using it with a regular class first, because we were discussing bio vs. chemiluminescence. NONE of the chemicals worked properly. No quick glow, just muddy green water, and a bummed-out class full of students. Since this was a chemically based product, I was unable to return it. I realize that this is not an "Amazon" product, but quality control and expiration dates should be noted. Maybe I just received a dud; entirely possible! Exposure to heat/cold/light could have possibly compromised the chemicals. Regardless, be wary.

SCIENCE!
I ordered this kit to encourage my 8-year-old daughter's nascent interest in science, and she found it totally captivating. It isn't one of those mediocre "kitchen science" kits that include baking soda and vinegar (yawn). Instead, the small container holds vials containing chemicals with names you might need to practice to pronounce correctly. And the included booklet not only provides clear instructions for several experiments with dramatic results (the bleach light being my personal favorite), but it explains, in a remarkably sophisticated yet fairly accessible way, *why* these experiments work. My daughter ended up liking the experiments so much that she used them as the basis for her science expo project on fireflies and bioluminescence. She was able to create and explain chemiluminescence herself. Great stuff.
