Simply works!
It simply works. Haven’t tried anything that is better! For rust, it would need to be heavy surface rust not to work. Works very well on copper alloys, and silver too. Just keep in mind that it’s a very mild abrasive. Also, you might want to use it in an open area due to the ammonia smell.

The Best Yet!!
Hello, I just received my Metal Glo. My most cherished high quality knives such as my Hibben Extreme Survival Survivor knife and my handmade Survivor Bowie knife had gotten some superficial scratches on them due to sharpening them by hand. I don't know why but everytime I sharpen a knife I always manage to get superficial scratches on the blade. Anyway, a professional knife aharpener had told me that Flitz Polish would remove the superficial scratches easily, and it will also polish and protect blades and the metal items that it is used on. It does this to an extent but it is messy and it has mot as of yet to remove the scratches/ To be honest, the Flitz Polish was more problems than it was worth. Not True At All with UC Metal Glo! When I got it in the mail, I used it right away, and it is very clean to use! And it works so much better than the Flitz Polish does. It provides a much glossier and more refined protective coating as well. But what did it for me is that it did what Flitz was never going to do; After using the UC Metal Glo a couple of times on the scatches on my knives, I could see them slowly disappearing/ blending in with the rest of the knife blade's steel. It was awesome to just watch those hated scratches just go, like they were getting dissolved right before my very eyes. It was fascinating to see. Afterwards and after buffing it several times really good with a clean soft dry cloth, I took a cloth called Miracle Cloth, which is soaked with cleaners and Coconut Oil. Man all I can say is Wow!!! It also played a big part in ridding the blade of even more scratches. And pretty soon the knfie will look as good as new and with a protected, mirror-polished shine! I plan to polish and buff the blade a few more times, and then I be willing to bet that the blade will be scratch-free. I highly recommend UC Metal Glo and the Moracle Glo cloth, and especially recommend it over the poor pitiful Flitz Polish! Thanks for reading!

Metal Glo as good as ever
I used Metal Glo many years ago and thought it was fantastic. Eventually, I found the name of the product and tried to purchase a new tube. The color of the tube has been changed and I was worried the quality of the product had changed if it was even if the same company was still making it. The first time I used it my suspicions were gone. The same old quality and performance were there. It works so well that I do not mind the rubbing and polishing it takes to bring back the beauty of the metal. It is not a miracle "spray it on and wipe it off" product. You have to do your part. But that part is easy and quick none the less. I have shared it on with family and friends and they are impressed as well. I do use a lubricant/preservative after using Metal Glo to protect the metal on my knives and other metal products.

Amazingly good on silver and steel
I am always surprised when a product works exactly as advertised. I had a cabinet full of old silver items (four big coffee and tea pots, drinking mugs, butter dishes, big silver platters, etc, a total of 17 items). They had developed an awful purple-black coating after ten years on the shelf. I couldn't find anything that worked until I discovered two unopened tubes of Metal Glo in a drawer. The instant I applied a drop of this product the black tarnish disintegrated and in about two seconds it was glowing like a mirror. A little light rubbing with a soft cloth did the trick - no sweaty elbow grease needed. Two little 2.4 oz tubes cleaned all my silver and also two beautiful swords that I had been neglecting. Then I ordered two more tubes. This stuff works like magic on silver and steel. I wish it came in larger tubes.

Have been using this product for years
I have been fighting monsters and beasts now for the better part of my years with my trusty bastard sword and hooked spear by my side. After slaying the foul enemies of mankind, their blood and gore collects on my blades and begins to taint them. Sure, I could brag to my fellow knights about the toxic medusa blood or poisonous manticore spittle that has collected and tarnished my blades but what righteous crusader for humanoids everywhere would be using such deplorable and unsightly weapons? As with any metal, the quicker you are to clean them, the less etching and corrosion there will be. With some different grades of steel wool and Metal Glo and a bit of elbow grease, you can work most of it out. It works really good at removing most of the rust and tarnish on the surface. It is usually the etched areas or recessed parts that are the toughest to clean and restore. Then you have to work a little harder at getting the steel wool down into it and how much of the surface you plan on buffing away. For the 1 star deduction - as stated, I have been using this product for nearly 15 years. I was getting the older size of 1.8oz but it is now sold in 1.4oz. The deduction wasn't for the size reduction but because they seem to have reformulated it and there is definitely a "chemical" smell to it now that wasn't in the older product. Make sure to use plenty of ventilation while using it. Before I would clean my weapons at the meal table but now use it outside. It still seems to clean the same as before but sad at how smelly it has become.

New Formula?
I've been using Metal Glo since the mid 90's. Back then, the paste was a pinkish color. The new formula on the new Metal Glo is grayish in color. I still have half a tube of the original formula which still shines/polishes extremely well, a little goes a very long way. The new grayish formula's paste isn't thick as before and I noticed that I need to apply more pressure when shining my metallic items and I have to use a bit more of the paste for my desired shine. It still performs well, albeit the big change in the formula of the paste that I was used to using in the 90's and early 2000's.

I bought this to use on a sword that had a few tarnish stains from cutting fruit and pumpkins. (for fun with friends). The tarnish came right off with work. Has some strong fumes, would suggest a well-ventilated area or a respirator when using. Good product.

It certainly does give my swords a shine, I have to go over them twice though as they have never been shined before. 10outta10 would buy again

I have a collection of various swords and I used to use gun oil to keep them clean and untarnished. I kept seeing this product pop up on some of the websites that I collect off of and figured I'd give it a try. I'm very satisfied with the results. It worked much better than what I currently was using and practically restored the finish back to the day I took the blades out of the box. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to polish any metal. It gets the job done!
