Press the lock button to lock the disc brake, you will hear the sound “Du”, it means it’s coming into the alarm status. I can move this alot before it goes off but great for stopping people from riding off on bike.....using 2 other bike locks and a remote controlled alarm along with this to keep my bike safe.Edited: when actually on the bike, it seems more easily set off than just holding it. I have read reviews of similar but cheaper locks where they weren't waterproof and fell apart. This has bounced out of my pocket and all over the street without being broken at all and still works to this day, so yep, I am buying another for my other bike.

Cheap Weak Lock
This must have been a great and reliable protection for a bike before man invented the lever... The material is weak the size of the weak area is small and a small child wielding a decent size screwdriver could pry this thing off in no time...My key failed to open it and I was concerned that it would be tough to remove... I was wrong: Three seconds with a small crowbar took it off with almost no effort... If this protects your bike it's because no one tried to pry it off...Also alarm is a PITA because it will go off if it rains...

Easy to use & Loud
This Alarm Disc Lock is great for when you want to run into a convenient store to get a cold drink or coffee, and you will be away from your bike for 5 -10 minutes. It will keep someone from walking the bike away or jumping on it and riding away. Should not solely be used to lock up your bike - use chains, U locks etc... when your away from your bike more than 15 - 20 minutes or so.

The alarm that someone is around our bikes
I am still getting use to getting if off with out making it go off. Love the idea if someone is messing with my bikes it will alarm me and hopefully scare them off.
