Luma 350 Portable Smart Projector, Powerful Ultra HD Rechargeable Video Projector w/Android 6.0, Streaming Apps, Wi-Fi, Mirroring, Remote Control and Crystal-Clear Up to 200

I purchased the luma 150 and it’s a great little projector to take camping. It’s bright enough to even watch films in the day! It’s got a decent battery life of about 2.5 hours which is plenty of time to watch a film before falling asleep. It even runs when you plug in a portable charger! There were a few hiccups I encountered when setting up the 150 m: 1. One thing I didn’t realise is that streaming providers like Netflix and Disney+ don’t allow you to screen mirror films - you have to purchase a hdmi adapter for your phone for this to work - however you can still mirror your own videos and YouTube videos. There is also a very slight lag. The Luma 350 has a Netflix app installed, which is why it’s so much more expensive. The 150 isn’t too dissimilar from the 75, so if you’re looking to save money and don’t mind the 2 hour battery life (instead of 2.5) and a dimmer bulb, go for that. 2. I had an issue trying to get movies to work when I plugged my pen drive into the USB port on the Luma 150 - I kept getting “all files unrecognisable” error. (I tried every format I could - .mp4, .flv, .mkv, .mov etc and still nothing worked). After researching a bit i realised my USB was in the wrong format - you have to format your USB to FAT32 to get it to be readable by the projector, but After doing this and testing .mp4 files it still didn’t work. HOWEVER - the fix I found was making sure your videos are in 30FPS or lower - otherwise the projector cannot play them. Resolution size 1080 x 1920 works perfectly too, but no larger. I haven’t tried micro SD but I’m guessing the FPS issue may be the same ^ these issues aren’t stated in the user manual, or on any online forums. This was my fix to the issue and I hope it helps someone else having this issue. It drove me crazy lol The hdmi cable provided is great to use to plug into games consoles and a laptop with no lag, and the option to be completely wireless and run of a battery is very impressive for a projector, and the audio output is actually pretty good! Shame it’s only aux input and no Bluetooth, but I imagine that would use up more battery power. All in all I’d highly recommend. :)

Excellent Project and very comprehensive in its use.

I bought this looking for something that could at least project to 200”, at first I was ready to send back as I tried a few of the apps namely Disney and Apple TV but they would not allow me to stream natively from the unit, fire stick rectified that issue. The quality of the picture is really decent but as others have said the audio is terrible, I will also add that I have mainly used this connected to a power source so I have it on max lumens. The price I think could be £100 - £150 less but all in all I am happy with the purchase considering it’s ease to set up and the focus wheel and auto correction work as stated, on the video I have it Bluetooth connected to a jbl speaker, and the projection is on to an off white wall as I’m currently awaiting my screen.

This review relates only to the Kodak Luma 150. I bought this projector mainly to use as an art tracer. It has DLP which is needed for projecting an image small enough to fit onto a small canvas. The projector beam, for this purpose, appears to be bright enough and sharp enough because it's close to the canvas. However that is an extremely expensive way to trace images so I had high hopes for the other functions Phone mirroring doesn't seem very useful and you still need to use the phone itself to change the app you are viewing. The aspect ratio will always be the same as the phone, long and narrow. If you really do want to use it, then it's several steps, on an Android phone:- Select mirror on the top of the projector using the arrows; on the phone, go to the web url on the screen; go to Settings>Connections and click on Wifi; choose Kodak there, not your usual one; back to Settings, scroll down and click Connected devices; scroll down to Smart View, choose Kodak. Done. I don't know if I count the same as you but to me that is nine steps which I would rather not bother with. The cables are short:-the HDMI cable included is only 77cm/30 inches long and the mains lead is 1 metre long. The HDMI cable works with my laptop but I could not make it work with my tower PC. Battery life was measured to be 1 hour, 38 minutes I tested the HDMI Amazon Fire TV Stick. The room needs to be pitch dark. Dim lighting is not enough to see anything. 50 Ansi Lumens seems rather low. The sound is adequate so I don't need to buy additional speakers and I can hear well as it has such a quiet fan. The native resolution is low at 854x480 and seems to be pixellated (see image) I don't know if that's the tiny Led light pattern or pixellation from the low-res. I just tell what I see. Something that the manual does not tell you is that this projector can only display images from a USB stick of less than 32Gb formatted to *FAT32 only*. Larger USB sticks are formatted to exFAT which the projector can't read. Photos need to be directly in the root of the USB stick as the Kodak can't see directories. The images will present as a slideshow unless the button on top of the Kodak is tapped repeatedly until you see a pause button below the image, then tap it again to select pause. For me, that's a quite fiddly because the kodak seems very slow to respond. This is where a remote control would have been useful so that we wouldn't need to stand over the projector tapping away. Best uses are: As an art tracer via a FAT32 formatted USB stick For presentations via HDMI to laptop As a Home cinema in a dark room via HDMI Amazon smart stick with voice control for Netflix, Prime etc., or similar smart TV stick Pros: It's DLP which means you can project very close and small. That function is needed for art work. Pleasantly quiet fan Looks cute. White gloss top, non-slip rubber feet mounted on white plastic underneath and rose gold trim all round the outside. It has a screw thread underneath for a camera tripod. Cons: No remote control No keystone correction No bluetooth No tripod No Android OS Native resolution low Loses a bit of focus by itself from time to time

Great little projector, particularly useful in artwork. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Wireless connectivity is a real bonus making it very easy to set up.

Very expensive, cannot connect wirelessly, manual does not tell you most important things about how to make it work (these days it should be "plug-and-play" and software looks like it was made in 1990's). No customer/technical support in the UK. I will never buy Kodak product again. One can buy equally malfunctioning gadget for 10% of its price. Very disappointed.

Lo primero que se aprecia es que el proyector es ridículamente pequeño, parece mentira que incluya una batería, un puerto HDMI (de tamaño normal) y altavoz. Además, no pesa nada a pesar de tener la batería en su interior. Sus medidas son de 8 x 8 cm, 2 cm de grosor, y solo 140 gramos de peso. No tiene Wi-Fi. El proyector, al ser tan compacto, se calienta un poco, pero es normal. La salida de aire caliente del ventilador está en el lateral del proyector, conviene no taparla. Tanto el ventilador como el hecho de que saque un poco de aire caliente es común en todos los proyectores. La pantalla resultante no es muy grande con respecto a otros proyectores, pues a una distancia de 1 metro la pantalla es de 47 cm x 27 cm (21 pulgadas aproximadamente), a 2 metros de 40 pulgadas, y a 4 metros de 184 cm x 106 cm (83 pulgadas aproximadamente). Tiene una escala de 4 luces blancas que se enciende cuando está cargando con el transformador de corriente enchufado, y esas 4 luces indican el nivel de carga (25% - 50% - 75% - 100%) de la batería cuando el proyector está encendido y presionamos el botón de encender/apagar. La batería no es extraíble. En la parte trasera del proyector tenemos las conexiones, que son: - Entrada micro-USB para alimentarlo o cargar la batería - Entrada HDMI (para conectar un PC, portátil, tablet...) - Salida de auriculares / altavoces (jack 3,5mm) - Conector USB para conectar un pendrive y ver las películas o series que tengamos en él a través del proyector (el puerto USB también nos permite usar el proyector como un powerbank, para cargar el móvil por ejemplo, o cualquier aparato que se pueda cargar mediante un cable USB) En el lateral tenemos la ranura para tarjeta microSD, que nos permite ver las fotos o videos y películas que tengamos en ella. En el lado opuesto tenemos una pequeña rueda que nos permite enfocar el proyector, pues según la distancia a la que lo tengamos de la pared o pantalla donde proyectemos, el enfoque cambiará y tendremos que ajustarlo. Esto es así en todos los proyectores. El proyector tiene una rosca en la parte inferior, que sirve para montarlo sobre un trípode. Es un tipo de rosca estándar, así que cualquier trípode de una cámara de fotos por ejemplo, nos servirá. También tiene 4 soportes de goma que hacen que no se deslice en la superficie donde lo apoyamos. Si queremos ver videos que tenemos en una tarjeta microSD, podemos colocar el proyector sobre una mesa o superficie plana y proyectar en el techo por ejemplo, sin tener que estar aguantando el proyector ni que se caiga. Esto, junto a la batería interna que incorpora lo hacen totalmente portátil y fácil de usar en cualquier situación. El proyector incluye un pequeño altavoz que reproduce el audio que le viene del HDMI o de los vídeos de la tarjeta microSD. Se escucha, pero no tiene demasiada calidad, como no puede ser de otra forma para un altavoz de este tipo. Pero al tener salida jack de 3,5mm para el audio esto no es un problema, pues podemos conectar cualquier auricular o altavoces y escuchar el sonido a través de ellos con tanta calidad como queramos. Este proyector tiene resolución nativa de 1280 x 720 píxeles, lo que significa que para leer textos pequeños puede no ser todo lo nítido que se necesita. Si lo usamos extendiendo la pantalla o como única pantalla, no podemos pasar de 1360 x 960 píxeles, aunque se convierte a FullHD (1920 x 1080 píxeles) si duplicamos una pantalla con esta resolución. Esto es realmente sorprendente para un proyector de estas dimensiones y peso. Tiene 5 botones táctiles en el propio proyector para las funciones básicas: volumen, siguiente, anterior y atrás. No tiene ajuste para la corrección trapezoidal, lo que significa que tenemos que tener el proyector alineado en el centro de la pantalla para que se vea totalmente cuadrada. No es nada grave y simplemente basta con colocarlo centrado con la zona donde queremos proyectar. Es algo esperado de un proyector de este precio, además, estas correcciones de la imagen hacen que pierda calidad. El brillo del proyector no es tan alto como el de otros proyectores más caros, pero esto no significa que el brillo no sea suficiente para ver vídeos sin problema. También depende de la distancia entre el proyector y la pared, pues cuanto más lejos esté menos brillante será. De hecho me esperaba que tuviera bastante menos brillo, pero incluso con algo de luz ambiente la imagen del proyector se ve de manera más o menos aceptable. Es ideal para llevarlo de camping o de viaje, pues con una microSD insertada no necesitamos conectarlo a ningún aparato para usarlo. Al ser tan pequeño y pesar tan poco, cabe en cualquier bolsillo y nos permitirá ver nuestras películas o series favoritas en sitios donde es inviable llevarnos una televisión. Podemos proyectarlo en el techo, en una pared, en la tela de la tienda de campaña o en cualquier sitio. Además, le conectamos unos auriculares y es perfecto. No tiene mando a distancia y en la caja se incluye un cable HDMI a HDMI y otro USB a micro-USB, para cargarlo. No se incluye adaptador / transformador de corriente, pero cualquiera con salida USB nos vale (de un móvil o similar). El manual está en varios idiomas, entre ellos el castellano o español. Evidentemente no es un proyector profesional, ni se puede esperar de él lo mismo en cuanto a resolución, calidad de imagen o brillo que de un proyector que sea 4 veces más grande y caro, pero en general me parece un producto con una buena relación calidad-precio, un proyector portátil muy interesante por sus funciones.
