I have been going to NYC at least twice a year for many years.The food options are unlimited, and I would be lost without this little companion.The recommendations are 100% on the spot. I have never been disappointed.

I'm really sorry that we no longer have Zagat. There wasn't and isn't anything like it. Reviews in the Yelp aren't trustworthy or helpful. I wish someone else will publish reviews like Zagat again.

For awhile zagat's became irrelevant. print was too small, it was too busy with too many places. I think Danny Meyer's input put it back on the right path. It's easy to read and is a good reference wlith some white space so I can make notes i.e. what table I like at certain places, name of receptionist etc.

We really miss the old Zagats which described the neighborhood with the location listing of each restaurant; i.e., 45th st between 7 and 8 ave. The new setup means we haver to leaf through the whole book to find out where each restaurant in the West 40s is.

Very sadly, the internet and yelp and google reviews have replaced the beloved Zagat guides that I've loved and relied on for decades. This is the last one and has an introduction by Danny Meyer so I bought it for old times sake. Plus, many of the restaurants are still in business so I feel I can still rely on the Zagat reader reviews and judgements so it's still really invaluable...

Dec 2019, this New York City Restruant Guide for 2020 makes a great Christmas Stocking Stuffers. Just wish they made books for New Jersey and Connecticut :(. They use to have an App for these reviews but the company sold out.
