My daughter started to be obsessed with flashlights awhile ago, and sometimes to make bedtime more pleasant I'd let her have one in bed with her. The problem was she liked to fall asleep with it on, and the batteries would die. She'd try to turn it on in the middle of the night and get upset when it wouldn't work.Now, she can fall asleep with this light on and also turn it on at night if she gets scared. No parent intervention needed. The battery lasts forever because it's only on 10-30 minutes at a time. We took this on vacation with us and it helped her feel more comfortable at night in a new place.It's a pricy flashlight. But it's exactly what we needed and it works great.

My toddler was very interested in flashlights and I wanted to find one that was rechargeable and kid friendly. This is exactly that. I paid a little more than I wanted to ($30 if I recall) but it's worth it. It's held up for 6 months and I've only charged it once thanks to the timer function which saves the battery when my kid forgets to turn it off.I think some reviewers commented that it's not durable - I can see how this thing might not be the most durable, but my toddler has thrown it on hardwood floors a number of times and it's fine so far.Not sure how this isn't more popular, or how there aren't more similar toys. It's great!

If the unit was more durable, would definitely give it five stars. However, we now have two of them. The first has been dropped a few times by our toddler and randomly shuts off because of a loose battery connection.Perfect brightness for a child.

I now own several as I’m afraid of them going out of stock. Initially for my child, but I love them too. Works as either a flashlight or night light. Use indoors and outdoors. And best part it’s rechargeable!!

Thank you, Thank you this is so perfect for our granddaughter. She’s 3 and likes to look at her books and play with toys right after she goes to bed. The problem with regular flashlights is they stay on all night long, this flashlight has a 30 min auto shut off when it’s a night light and better yet a 5 min auto shut off as a flashlight. The battery last a good amount of time. My granddaughter loves it.

I love the function of this light, but it’s not safe for small children. I bought 2 for my kids, and within a few days of use both of them had ears/horns break off leaving jagged sharp edges. After 3 months, one of them has lost all the small pieces and the head has cracked and nearly falling completely off. It’s no longer safe for my 3 year old to use.I expected much better quality for the price.

I purchased this as a nightlight for my kids room bec they didn't like that it was so dark when they went to sleep. They love it! First of all they love giraffes so that was perfect :) and secondly, its really simple to use. My 3 year old got the concept of how to change the color so he switches it on his own to the one he likes that night. Overall its a cute and functional addition to my kids room.

Cute, but needs to be more durable. As a reading flashlight for my kids in bed, I struggled hard to find something with an automatic shutoff after Flashlight Friends got more and more rare.This is THE ONLY replacement that I have found so far with a 10ish minute automatic shut off. For that, it deserves 1 billion stars.Also, the other colored light is adorable.My two problems:1. It’s a BRIGHT light. Good for seeing, but I think not so good for falling asleep when reading.2. It’s fallen put of the bed a few times in the night. After about 1 month of ownership, the light cover popped off exposing the bulb. I managed to superglue it shut, but as it’s marketed for kids, it would be nice if it was durable enough to handle a kid.Still, unless Flashlight Friends starts production again, or something better comes out, I will replace with another one because automatic shut off is AMAZING!

Oldest had one. So youngest wanted one too. Lovely colours. Last a couple of days when charged. Great that it has a timer so the light falls out. Torchlight function very useful when they get older.

Loved it at the beginning and it was a regular part of the bedtime routine for my newborn. After only 6 months the giraffe wouldn’t light up and now the flashlight doesn’t work either. Incredibly disappointing when it was only used once per day. Sadly my baby still looks for it when going to bed.

Cette lampe de poche est devenue un indispensable de ma fille depuis qu'elle est propre la nuit (vers 2 ans et demi). Elle est très facile d'utilisation et lui permet d'aller aux toilettes seule la nuit sans allumer toutes les lumières. Le mode veilleuse émet une lumière colorée (selon celle que vous choisissez, il y a quand même pas mal de choix) pas trop forte.L'autonomie est vraiment satisfaisante, je la recharge maximum une fois par mois (alors qu'elle l'utilise tous les soirs).Le petit plus vachement cool c'est que la lampe-torche s'éteint toute seule au bout de 10 minutes et la veilleuse aussi mais je ne saurai pas dire combien de temps après (+ que 10 minutes en tout cas).Pour finir, je trouve qu'elle est plutôt solide :)

The light itself works really well and the idea is perfect for childrenBUT!!!The build quality for a £25 product designed for children is truly shocking.We bought two for our twin daughters... This is the kind of damage you can expect to see on these torches. One of them received damage like this from less than one days use after my daughter dropped it just once onto a hard surface.Considering the parts that broke off are so small I'm so glad I didn't have any younger children around as they would've been a choking hazard!
