Great Rain Jacket for Big Builds and Wet Weather
I purchased the XL size, and at 6'2" and 250 lbs, it provides a comfortable fit with enough room to layer a sweater or other clothing underneath. A size L might have fit more snugly, but would have limited layering options. I wore the jacket during a 15-minute walk in steady rain, and it performed exceptionally well—kept me dry, felt comfortable, and has a clean, stylish look. I’m very satisfied with the quality and would definitely consider purchasing it again.

USPS Postal Worker Review. Highly Recommend!
This jacket is a life saver. I work outdoors 8-10 hours a day delivering mail in heavy rain literally feels like standing under the shower. The coat is actually water proof. I was looking for a rain coat for Spring and Summer because the ones I have are all too hot to wear. This jacket will not only keep you dry but also feel super breathable and you won’t feel like you’re sweating yourself under the coat. I bought small but the sleeves are a bit long for me but I just fold it and works for me. The hood is great too, not too big and not too small feels at times like a roof over your head during rainstorm downpours. Recommended this jacket to my post office colleagues and now there’s 6-7 others wearing it. Postal rain coats cost close to $300-400, got this on sale for $80 probably my best purchase on Amazon.

Great rain coat, hood not so much
The rain coat will keep you dry in the heaviest downpour. I like the feel of the material; it's somewhat heavy, but that gives it a solid feeling. The hood is plenty large enough, but lacks an adjustment to keep it up and off your face.

My favorite rain jacket
This is the best rain jacket I've ever owned, and I've owned many. While it isn't as packable and lightweight as a Marmot or Patagonia rain shell, it makes up for it by featuring heavier material and looking fantastic. I like rainwear big so I can layer underneath it during cold, rainy months, so I ordered a 2XL (I normally wear an XL), and I'm glad I did. I have to fold the sleeves up a bit even with my extremely long arms, but that's OK too because the underlining is a nice contrast color to the exterior and makes it look even better IMO. I'm very, very happy with this.

definately waterproof
This is a great jacket for anyone who lives in the Pacific NW; we get a lot of rain, often heavy, and this jacket keeps me dry and warm. I like Helly-Hansen and would buy more of their stuff but they put their logo on these items and it is too bold, it is, in a word, offensive. HH needs to ask their design team for a logo that does the job but is more subtle, more clever, rather than just blatantly obvious; while their at it they might even reconsider the placement. Who makes these decisions anyway?

Not Rain Proof
The jacket is good looking and comfortable, but if you plan to spend a couple hours in pouring rain, then don't expect to be 100% dry. I would say this jacket is maybe 90% rainproof. I was watching my kids soccer games in a heavy rain, not using an umbrella because I was proud of my good looking HH yellow coat. Hood up, and zipped up tight, the weather exposure started. After about 30 minutes of heavy rain, I realized I needed to remove my phone from coat pocket because the wetness was starting to compromise the pocket. Not terribly, but enough that I didn't want to risk my phone in there, so I moved it to a pocket of my better rain proofed pants. After about 2 hours watching soccer in the heavy rain, I remained comfortable and warm with my underlying layers, but in the end fair amount of moisture had seeped into the jacket material. It took about 2 days of the jacket hanging in my garage near a heater to get it fully dry again. The disappointment is that I really like the HH brand, but my cheaper and more plasticy yellow rain jacket had provided the 100% water proofing that I expected from this very nice HH yellow rain jacket. If you are looking for a thin rain jacket that provides pretty water resistance as an exterior shell for over your other layers, then this is a good jacket, but if you want a 100% rain proof jacket, then keep looking.

The pockets. Why? ☹️
This jacket is amazing in ALMOST every way. Fit is amazing. Construction is amazing. Quality jacket. But the pockets are horizontal and open from the top. When you’re standing or walking in the rain, you want to keep your hands dry by sliding them into vertical pockets, on the sides. These pockets open from the top. Water runs in. And it’s an awkward position to keep your hands. Is that not-picky? Yep. But it rains a lot where I live.
