Great deal for the money.
I’m very happy with these hangers for the money! I’ve used & trusted “string swing” hangers for 2 decades and these seem decently made. The steel is thick enough, the welds are sufficient and the padding is not a type that will interact with vintage lacquer finishes (at least I don’t think it will). I wasn’t trying to break one but I did attempt to flex one to feel for weak points and found none.Others have complained that the button doesn’t lock the pivot. This is true, but it’s clearly not designed to. The button acts more like a detent and the angle you set the hanger to will stay where you put unless you bump/twist it sufficiently. I’ve had zero trouble either hanging my guitars or taking them down. It’s better that the hanger angle can move if bumped than it being locked solid in the event someone or something bumps the guitar (non locking pivot means less likely for a guitar to get knocked off it’s hanger). The hangers are plenty solid enough for any of my guitars! My set came with a steel plate for each hanger but I didn’t use it. In my situation, I mounted a polyurethaned antique 2x4 to my wall and then screwed each hanger into the 2x4 using 4 screws. I would NOT recommend mounting these on sheetrock with anchors alone; a mounting board or a stud is a minimum. Mounting to brick with proper screws or anchors would be fine.No this isn’t a bribed review, just one guys honest opinion of a good bang for your buck from the eye of an engineer. 🤘🏼

Good overall value for the price
The media could not be loaded. I think they could be a bit sturdier; however, adding a t-track to the bottom for the extra added support will do the trick. My t-tracks have not arrived yet, but will be installed in the channel near the bottom.

Worked great, saved lots of money and space
Cons:- A couple of the hooks did have a little bend in the metal but were all fine once screwed.- Would be nice if they came with a screws. I had some that worked great but black ones would have been better- These aren’t the sturdiest things in the world but I don’t think it matters. They aren’t going to spontaneously fall apart.- It does hold my telecaster okay, but I’m pretty sure when my guests hang it up they are going to hang it by the E tuner. I am going to try to adjust the hook to accommodate it better but it relies on it always going back up in the same placePros:- This was SOO much cheaper than a slatwall or prebuilt solution. I spent like $60 total I think, and it was a fun little project if you’re into that kind of thing. The hardest/scariest part is making sure whatever you’re mounting to is really secure, which you’ll stress about equally with a prebuilt solution- Hangers are the perfect length mounted to a 2x6. I put them with 7” gaps between each and it’s pretty perfect- tight but no collisions.- Again, THE PRICE. I don’t feel like I got a crappy product at all.

Works great
Hanging 8 guitars up out of the way, some heavy rigs (a Les Paul studio), and some odd shapes (Ovation 12 string round back), and they all fit fine. Mounted to a 1x6 10' pine board that we sanded and stained, drilled and lagged to studs, and it's rock solid. The swivel movement of the support arms lets odd shaped headstocks to hang straight.

What you are bargaining for is....
Okay so I bought these because they are cheaper in price than the String Swings hangers and cheaper in quality too, but if I had seen my pictures when looking at reviews I would have been more aware of what I would be receiving while trying to save money. Plus there are not that many choices for the money. The stock pictures they provide just cannot really show so here they are and IMHO They are way thinner material 1/10cm like half the thickness than S Swings. Very light weight here. The lip is not as tall either so hoping it does not slip out of slat. I hung a medium solid body 5 string bass on one and saw it stressing, almost bending the thin square tubing with not as much strength as I would have hoped and the seller says hold 60 lbs but that would really shock me to find out it could not handle 10 to 15 lb instruments-my banjos are pretty heavy too and I would hate for a cheap weld-notice my pics I found 4 little dot welds on the bracket bar. The length(this is not a telescopic bar)is stated 7" fully extended Y part that holds neck straight out or adjustable to left or right which gives the in-between measurement. The ends are the cheap kind of foam tubing and not the good long lasting rubber that are on my SS's. I think they will be ok but I have to modify each one with shims or like one review I did read the buyer held the pieces together with black tape so the bar would not lift out while lifting the instrument up to remove from hanger. That did happen with first try without my remedy of a piece of plastic material stuffed between the two pieces. This seems to work. I first started to whap the lip that the bar slides into thinking I could bend it and crimp a bit but then thought I may damage the look and whatever else so I chose to back off of that thought. The back plate is slightly wider than the SS just FYI....Good luck out there and feel free to comment with your thoughts and upgrades!

I needed to do a modification but they should be great
If you are using a slat wall system ..I used a "GLADIATOR" brand slat ...The gap is too wide and wont keep clip in place . I used "welding putty" to build a lip on the clip to make it fit snug . They should make their clips about a 1/4 longer on the top .(or the slat wall is different than standard slats) But a VERY STURDY kinda INDUSTRIAL looking product . I like them alot. I gave 5 stars because it might be that brand of slat wall that has a bigger gap than others. I think thats actually the issue. NOT THE HANGER

Extremely flumsy
Do not buy unless you're able to screw the bracket into the slat and track, it definitely will not hold a Les Paul.

Great product. Easy to install. Had to bend some hooks smaller to hold strat guitars but not hard to do.
