I Have Used for 18 Years, Keeps Noticeable Signs Away Longer, Hint of Bleach Scent
I love these Clorox bleach tablets for toilets. They leave the water clear, have no horrid perfumes unlike some, and has the slightest hint of bleach smell. You still have to clean your toilet, but these will keep it cleaner for longer. I like knowing that something is in the water killing stuff. I get that pink stain growth even with a clean house, and cleaning toilets every 2 weeks. Without these tablets, the pink stain appears between cleanings. But with these tablets, the pink stains stay away. If we delay cleaning for too long, it still comes back eventually. But clearly these tablets keep growth under control for much longer. I am a big fan of these and have been using them continuously since 2001.NO PERFUME:I love that these do not have perfume. I tried a toilet gel deposit once where you put it on the inner rim, and it smelled so awful that I was scrubbing and rinsing for a few hours so I could sleep in the connected room. I actually like the smallest hint of smell of the actual bleach in the water, which to me smells like clean to me.AFFECT ON TOILET PARTS:The drawback is that it will erode some rubber and metal parts inside your toilet tank if they aren't built to withstand bleach tablets. So expect your flapper to disintegrate and need replacing until you put a better one in there that will hold up much better. The flush arm may corrode if cheap metal, lose its strength, and need replacing. Replacing these two parts is very easy to do yourself in minutes, with no need for a plumber. I have never had a problem beyond replacing flappers and flush arms. You can see in the pictures that some parts are newer than others. Keeping my toilet clean is much more important to me than the rare rubber or metal part replacement.TABLETS MAY BREAK:It really doesn't matter if they are cracked or in pieces when it arrives, so don't worry if yours is. But they seem to arrive cracked more often from Amazon than when bought at a locally. It still just dissolves and lasts about the same duration even if broken into pieces.

It's Worth Having Some Chlorine Smell to have Immaculate Bowls and Tanks
Been using this product for nearly a year now. It would have 5-stars but for the odor. We were cleaning our bowl and the tank at least once a week to remove a blackish ring in the bowl, "flakes" of something black (from 1/8" to 1/2"), and a ring inside the tank along with mold and other junk. Our water is chloramine treated municipal water and we have a 5 micron sediment filter followed by a large charcoal filter. With or without the water equipment operational, this ugly material appears. Now, our bowls never have a black ring, and, the tanks are spotless. All this, but with one issue that some folks dislike and some don't care. There is a "chlorine" smell in the bathrooms, peaking when one flushes. I like the fresh scent of chlorine, but not everyone does. Prior to trying these, I tried several others without chlorine or bromine in them, including the wonderful "blue water" ones. None of these others worked. Also tried the one that uses chlorine "injection" into the bowl wash water so the tank doesn't have the potential issue of damaging the hardware. This kept the bowl ring controlled, but the flakes continued since they were coming from the tank. The smell isn't too strong, but some just don't like it.
