Quality Inflatable Raft
My son wanted a raft to use on a nearby lake. We decided on this Intex Challenger 2 Boat Set, because it had a 2-person capacity and came with the air pump, grab line, and 2 oars at a reasonable price. It features 3 chambers as follows... The 1st chamber is the inflatable floor. It is similar to an inflatable air mattress or pool lounge float. It has the standard plug with cap. The 2nd chamber goes around the perimeter of the floor and has a Boston Valve. The 3rd chamber goes around the outside of the raft and also has a Boston Valve. The raft can still float if one of the outer chambers is punctured (chamber 2 or 3). The Boston valves are nice because they have a 2-in-1 cap. Remove only the top cap to insert air, and remove the bottom cap to remove air. The dual-action air pump appears to be made from cheap plastic but worked well. It puts air in on both the fore and aft strokes. The raft came with 2 plastic oars that come in 2-pieces (plus a connector in the middle), and are 4-foot long when assembled. There are 2 oar holders on each side of the raft to store the oars when not in use. There is also an oar lock on each side to hold the oars in position while rowing. The front of the raft has a nice, large grab handle. The white grab line (rope) comes with the set, and is threaded around the perimeter through the black knobs around the outside and through the bottom holes of the oar holders. The first night we inflated the raft inside our home. The next morning we noticed the exterior 3rd chamber had gone soft. We tried it again and the same thing happened, albeit very slowly. The user manual did mention that if you pump it up during the warm day, and let it sit overnight, the cool night/morning air can cause it to go soft. Next, we took it to the lake to test it out for a couple of hours. It worked perfectly, and we could not detect any leaking air bubbles when we checked the top, bottom and sides by flipping it over in the water. We took it out again the following weekend and had another enjoyable day at the lake, and my son mastered the coordination required to row. After this 2nd trip we pumped it up again at home, and this time the raft was still fully inflated the following morning. Specs and Size: 2-person with a maximum capacity of 375 pounds. Size varies from the smaller back to the larger front of the raft as follows: * Exterior Dimensions: 92-inch Long x 14-inch High in front and 12-inch High in back. Width is approximately 44-inch across the front and 36-inches across the back. * Interior (seating space): 54-inch Long x 9-inch Deep, and 18-inch Wide across the front, and 16-inch Wide across the back. My son and I are both happy with this purchase and recommend this raft for those looking for an inexpensive leisure raft.

Good Quality, Great Fun, Reasonable Price
Typical Users I recently bought this inflatable boat for fishing and playing around on lakes. The type of boat I bought is Intex Challenger 2 which is a 2-person inflatable boat. In the package I received, it also came with French Oars and High Output Air Pump. For me, as a novice of outdoor sports, this combo is very convenient. The reason I bought this inflatable boat is that it is really portable. When it’s deflated, the size is compact and you could even put it into the trunk of your car. What’s more, the price is reasonable-only $29.99 with free shipping, if you are a prime member of Amazon. Thus, I believe the ideal user for this boat is the people like me who likes fishing and playing around on waters but still on a budget. If you are this type of person, I strongly recommend you to buy one. Using Experiences The first time when I received the boat, I did not immediately went to lakes. Instead, I wanted to see how long will it took to inflate the boat. The result was decent. It took me less than 10 minutes to set up the boat. The only tool I used was a manual air pump came within the box. Couple weeks later, I brought it to a lake with my friend. Since the size of my boat is compact, we can simply put it into the trunk of my car which is very convenient. When we arrived at the lake, we then inflated the boat and started boating. These things are easy to be done because the boat is very light. Although the boat is only 92.9 inches long and 44.9 inches wide, it feels commodious. It could comfortably sits two adults and till feels roomy. If you plan to use this boat by one person, this is even more suitable for you. You could also put some fishing tools on the rest of the area. The durability of this boat is good. After several times of using-deflating and inflating over and over, my boat is still in perfect condition. Criterion of Evaluating and Rating The Criterion I use in my review are portable, convenience, durability, size, and price. I am satisfied about all the criterion. Thus, I’ll give this boat a five-star rating and recommend it to you. You will have a great experience with this boat. Enjoy!

Works well, a bit smaller than expected
Seem sturdy and well made, but there is a protrusion on the floor section which almost looks like it has been stretched a bit. The raft held pressure well for two weeks so it was not an issue but it makes you wonder if there is a weakness. The two-person is really more like a roomy one person. Based on weight capacity and sitting room, you cannot fit two 6' tall people in it, and even if you're 5' something you'd better like each other a lot.

Great little cheap boat
This boat is a ton of fun. It is easy to inflate with the pump provided. The assembly is a breeze. We have used the boat twice to go out on the lake here and it is still going strong. Pros: -Easy set-up -big enough for me (6'0" tall) and my wife (5'4) -easy take down when done -a lot of fun -Pretty thick feeling plastic material. Much thicker than say a pool toy. It feels like one of the pull behinds you attach to boats. Cons: -its super slow, maybe cause the paddles are so short. I feel like a kayak paddle would work better and get more speed up. -Some of the dye from the blue has rubbed off onto us when we use the boat Overall, we really like it. For $30, it is a great boat. Any drawbacks it has are because of the price range it is in, and its definitily worth every penny. (though I do wish there was a way to attach a water proof pouch or something to it for our belongings)

A surprisingly great product
I had my doubts that a $32 "two man" raft would be sufficient for my son and I, both adults, and durable enough to trust very far from the dock. I think I was expecting more of a swimming pool toy. I was surprised and impressed, which is not easily done. This is not cheaply made, it is quite durable it seems and well constructed. I have some back and knee issues and sitting in the same position too long gets painful sometimes. However, sitting in the front, the rower..., the air chambers provided a nice lumbar support and was actually quite comfortable. I sat there fishing for about 11 hours straight and didn't have any problems. We went miles from the dock and back stayed dry and comfortable. We had a large tackle box (smaller would have been better, it sat up so high it interfered with rowing a bit, but that was my fault), one of them keep cool bags to hold some drinks and snacks in, a minnow bucket tied to the side, a fish basket tied to the side, a net, and 5 poles. It wasn't no 18' pontoon boat, but we had no problems at all. I am shocked in what I received for $32 bucks. The pump makes blowing it up fairly quick and easy, and deflates fast too, we even put it back in the original box to store.

Easily transported to & from home! Fairly Sturdy! Great Value!
Absolutely love it! Great purchase! Can't beat it for the investment! Filled very quickly with park pumps..do not advise using hand pump! Was easily deflated for storage. Seems sturdy enough but you're going to get a little bit wet getting in & out. My husband enjoyed a relaxing lounge while I struggled with the paddles..lol..because he sat at the rear of the boat which offers minimal back support. I suggest putting the heaviest person at the front. We sat facing one another and were both quite comfortable in terms of space. We could've handled another small passenger but that would've made for an awkward journey & we wouldn't have enjoyed it very much. I suggest a 2 person limit..perhaps 1 adult and 2 small children. I intend to purchase another set of oars as the oars seem too small to maneuver the boat without a lot of work. Certainly the more weight, the more difficult to maneuver this boat successfully. All in all, I found this to be an excellent bargain & well worth the price! We used it on the lake at a state park & after doing the math we realized a couple of trips out on the water & we were already saving money over rental price & the use of park pumps & fairly easy parking make it all the nicer. I'd be comfortable taking it on the lake anytime and the river, but no way would I suggest ocean use! We even used it to make an impromptu rescue when my son & his friend managed to over turn their canoe with quick & uneven weight distribution! We tied the canoe to the side & the boys..in life jackets..hung onto sides into the shallows. By days end we had several curious people inquiring about the boat which we heartily recommend. Advise caution around stumps, fishing lures & sharp rocks, but this is definitely rugged enough for the price. Have fun & enjoy it!

Not So Much Oars as Teaspoons
I purchased this boat based on other reviews as it sounded like a great deal for the money. Unfortunately, while the boat does appear to be sturdy and of decent quality, the oars are ridiculous. My son rows crew for college and I'm an experienced paddler, but the oars that come with the boat were too short and too flimsy for us to maneuver the boat at all. If you have your own oars then maybe it's worth it, but I figure if you already have oars you probably already have a better boat to go with them. In addition, while it has a 375 lb capacity and claims to be a 2-person boat, those 2 people would have to be very short to fit in it at the same time. So we're talking something like 5' 2" and 185 lbs each, in an inflatable rowboat. I will leave you to paint your own picture of that scene.

Worked great!
Firstly, thanks for all the people who left feedback/reviews for this unit which helped my decision. I bought this boat since I needed something to entertain the kids while camping. Personally, I never got on this type of boat before (rowing, tube/air filled), but I've seen many other people enjoying this type. And I did not want to spend couple hundred dollars or add another bulky item to store in my already cluttered garage. I was deciding between "Intex Explorer 200" ($20 in Amazon) and "Inext Challenger 2" ($33). I did not want to get a too small of a unit since many reviewers inform about the "coziness". The setup was very easy. It came with a pump, and it took about 16~18 minutes to fill up all 3 chambers by two teenaged-kids. I have to give them credit, because it took me about the same time, around 15 minutes. I like the "Boston valve" one, which were for chamber 2 & 3, inside tubing and outer lining tubing. (Sorry, I'm not a sailor, and I don't know what it would be appropriately termed.) because it made deflating very easy. The hull one uses the usual type where you have to hold with two fingers to deflate. Overall, the inflating and deflating process were easy. (I still have to figure out how to put all the stuff back into the original box.) Once setup, the kids enjoyed them very much. Since the kids never "rowed", they had trouble at first, but they figured out eventually. I had enjoyed for two days, and the air seemed to hold ok. (Once inflated, the kids enjoyed it for about 4 hours without inflating it again.) I strictly enforced the "two people" rule, but my friend went on with two kids, and it was fine as well. It was good for upto 250 pounds. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with about 30 bucks of investment, and I would definitely go for something little bigger for my next trip. (Revised) Give 5 stars. Had it for 2+ years. Still worked great. We got more comfortable and confident with this boat (250 pound rating), so this year, we had 3 or 4 kids (now two years older, of course) go in and have fun. (With life vest on)
