My Blue Compass tension has gone and I now need to buy another extension tube because I can’t get it off the old arm. My Shure SM7B is on a Blue Compass boom arm and you can easily adjust the mic anyway you like. Sorry you're having trouble. **Q: Are both threads 5/8 inch standard?** A: Yes.
