As other reviewers have commented, this book does not say much about the Havanese breed itself but consists primarily of text that could fill a book on any breed.

Content Good; Book Condition Poor
The content is quite helpful for me as a new Havanese owner but the book arrived in poor condition. Perhaps left in storage in a hot area. The pages stick together and there is some "bleeding" of the dye of some color images.

Good info with lots of helpful insights
Great book with helpful as well as insightful tips on owning a Havanese. We are first time Havanese owners, long time dog owners, so we've been reading as much as we can on them. Their history is colorful, but thier personalities are just so much fun :).

Good book for a 9 year old
Bought this book for my 9 yr old daughter because we were getting a puppy. Good book for a 9 year old, but not really informative for adults.

wonderful book!
Even though I have read all the Havanese books out there... there was new and updated information in this book. I appreciate all the research and how the information was presented. I still learned things about Havanese.... such a great breed!

Great book, lots of information for first time Havanese owners. My one issue is that she states to not use the crate as a "time-out" area, but then says that if the puppy nips, to put her in the crate for no longer than five minutes. A tad confusing.

A very good book to own if you are thinking of getting a havanese dog . Great value for money

Very good info even for the new dog owner
Our family is getting a Havanese this w/d and this will be our first dog in the family We read many book about the beed but this was the best one, with plenty of advice to new and existing onwers.

Having just bought my first Havanese I found the book very informative especially the breeds history with some lovely photos

The one to get
When it comes to Havanese-specific book, this is the one to get. It's a bit old fashioned and getting hard to find, but still better than others newer Havanese books.
