This thermal carafe is no exception, with a classic, simple design that keeps coffee and other hot beverages hot for hours. A button you press with your thumb while gripping the handle opens the carafe for serving, doing away with the need to partly unscrew the lid for pouring. An indicator on the lid tells you if the carafe is open and ready to serve, or closed. When open, the outer rim supports coffee filter holders for brewing coffee directly into the carafe. --Cynthia Nims ## Features - High quality vacuum glass liner with excellent heat retention - Swivel base on AFFB-19S model - One-touch pour - Made in Japan ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00004S56W | | Best Sellers Rank | #230,127 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #59 in Thermal Carafes #2,283 in Beverage Serveware | | Brand Name | Zojirushi | | Capacity | 1.9 liters | | Color | Brushed Stainless Steel | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars (732) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00023596039445 | | Included Components | Premium Thermal Carafe | | Item Dimensions W x H | 7.5"W x 12.75"H | | Item Type Name | Premium Thermal Carafe | | Item Weight | 2.2 pounds | | Manufacturer | Zojirushi | | Manufacturer Part Number | AFFB-19S | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1yr | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Name | Premium Thermal Carafe | | Model Number | AFFB-19SAXA | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pitcher Form | Thermal Carafe | | Shape | Round | | Style Name | Modern, Classic | | UPC | 023596039445 711717435428 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Zojirushi - **Capacity:** 1.9 liters - **Color:** Brushed Stainless Steel - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Style:** Modern, Classic ## Images ![Zojirushi AFFB-19SAXA Premium Thermal Carafe, 1.85 Liter, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61x2DF+CPCL.jpg) ![Zojirushi AFFB-19SAXA Premium Thermal Carafe, 1.85 Liter, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31lZ8+qKDQL.jpg) ![Zojirushi AFFB-19SAXA Premium Thermal Carafe, 1.85 Liter, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31WK-Ign+OL.jpg) ![Zojirushi AFFB-19SAXA Premium Thermal Carafe, 1.85 Liter, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31Tzk8YpmuL.jpg) ![Zojirushi AFFB-19SAXA Premium Thermal Carafe, 1.85 Liter, Brushed Stainless Steel - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31DWAS2IQiL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does the lid entirely remove? Would it hold a porcelain drip filter on top without falling off?** A: The top round section of the lid unscrews. The part under that, with the spout and where the top of the handle meets must stay on. That only unscrews if you want to remove the glass thermal jug inside as it holds it securely in place. With the top portion unscrewed a round lip is on top, diameter 3 3/4 inches. As long as the drip filter has a flat that will sit on that lip then yes it will sit there. The inside of the threaded section is 2 3/4 inch diameter and the hole into the flask is 1 1/2 inch. The height from the hole to the top of the lip is just over 1 inch. **Q: Is the inside of this 1.85L thermos made of glass or stainless steel?** A: I am unsure but suspect it is glass as there is a section in the care of the carafe that refers to particles that may flake off of the inside of the carafe of the type that are found on glass in nature. Key to any storage device of this type is to pre warm or pre cool prior to filling. I use a Camelbak for cold liquids (stainless interior) and find it adequate even if left in a hot car for several hours. **Q: How wide is the opening at the top with the cover removed?** A: Thank you for your inquiry. With the lid removed from the AFFB-19S Premium Thermal Carafe, the diameter of the opening where liquid is poured in is 1 1/2 inches wide and the whole diameter of the product top without the lid is 3 3/4 inches and the Please contact Zojirushi America Customer Service at 1-800-733-6270 for further assistance or email support@zojirushi.com **Q: Where was it made?** A: stainless steel with glass thermal, with plastic top, handle and swivel base ## Frequently Bought Together - Zojirushi AFFB-19SAXA Premium Thermal Carafe, 1.85 Liter, Brushed Stainless Steel - Cosori Electric Kettle, No Plastic Filter & Spout, Stainless Steel Inner Lid, Tea Kettle & Hot Water Boiler For Coffee & Tea, Water Heater & Teapot, Automatic Shut Off, Black, 1.7L/1500W --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/1475384-zojirushi-affb-19saxa-premium-thermal-carafe-1-85-liter-brushed](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/1475384-zojirushi-affb-19saxa-premium-thermal-carafe-1-85-liter-brushed) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
