Worst printer with many errors don’t get!
This is crazy annoying as I got this to be a work printer and thought the black and white option wouldn’t have errors but it’s had nothing but errors and I haven’t been able to print even one job!! I’ve followed the steps to fix paper being jammed 4 times and it’s all still jamming! What a waist of money!! Will need to return now and I don’t have time for that as have a business and it’s our busy season!!

Fast Printer. High Toner cost
I have been using another popular brand of monochrome laser printer for general printing at home. The Canon imageCLASS LBP214dw Monochrome Laser Printer stands above my existing one in terms of its printing speed. This printer measures approximately 18" W x 8" H x 14.5" deep. It comes with a starter 052 toner cartridge with a print capacity of about 3100 pages (which is about half of the regular 052 cartridge). The packages only comes with a power cable and does not include any USB or Ethernet cable. The printer comes with an installation DVD with user guide. I would suggest downloading the user guide directly from the Cannon support website as it is in PDF format and is more comprehensive. The setup of the printer is quite easy with the option of either USB connection, wired Ethernet, or wireless Ethernet connection. The setup and configuration is done through the operation panel with LCD display. There are also various options for security features such as private IP address and WPS connection. We can also set the sleep timer function from the operation panel. There is an external USB port for printing from USB storage. We can also using the Cannon App for mobile printing. The print quality of the printer is quite good and it supports double-sided printing. However, the cost of the toner is quite high as compared to my existing laser printer. From checking the current prices of the 052 printer cartridges, the cost per page for the standard 052 toner is about 4.6 cents per page whereas the cost per page for the high capacity cartridge is about 2.4 cents per page. The cost of printing for my existing laser printer is 2.1 cents per page with similar print quality.Overall, this printer would be a good choice If fast printing speed is critical.

Easiest Setup I ever did
After reading a bunch of reviews I decided to order the Canon LBP214dw. I set aside yesterday afternoon to do the setup, knowing there is always some problem when setting up a new printer on your home network.1:15 I opened the box and removed a few pieces of tape, put in the cartridge, plugged in the network cat5 and power cord.1:20 I went to the canon site and downloaded the newest driver. (Never use the enclosed DVD)1:22 I clicked on the install.1:25 The driver found the printer on my network and I printed a test page.1:30 DONE! There were no problems. Every thing worked great. I was freaked out at how fast it produced a back to back copy. It was done before I could get over to get it.Went to my wife's computer clicked on the install and the same thing happened. By 1:40 I had the install complete and had to find something else to do. Almost disappointed at how easy it was. The quality is great.

Very large paperweight
This is total junk. It worked for about a year, then had nonstop problems. Tried reinstalling drivers, using different cable, doing wireless, different computers, etc. Totally useless and a waste of money.

Gigantic but great
I appreciated the quick and easy set up and wireless printing. It comes with a toner so you wont have to spend extra money initially. It prints very quickly with very quick warm up. I only wish it was smaller because it’s bulky for my home office

Great laserjet. Pros Easy to setup
Great laserjet.ProsEasy to setup. Was able to print in less than 10 min from opening the box.Quality is very good. Nice crisp resolution.Easy to use double sided functionality.Easy to print with wireless devices via Canon business app.Printing is faster than a more expensive HP model in the same class.ConsToner seems expensive at $121 and currently not available to buy, also no third party suppliers for toner on this model that I could find.

Not Ready for Prime Time
The only good point is that it does print (occasionally). The negatives however far out weigh the only good thing about it. It frequently jams, which can be very annoying, and it can be somewhat difficult to clear as the jams are usually at the bottom of the printer which requires removal of the paper tray and lifting the front of the printer. Quite often it just refuses to print. When that happens it is necessary to manually reset the printer by turning it off and on. It is capable of 2 sided printing, which is nice if you want it, but a PAIN if you don't, and rarely does one want it. Trouble is that even if it is set for 1 sided printing, after a few prints it reverts to 2 sided. But when trying to reset it to single sided it shows that it is already set to single sided. Finally it always runs paper through twice whether printing on 2 sides or just on 1 side. POJ.

Love this printer. Easy to setup. Works well for air printers. Gets along with other printers too.

Une très bonne imprimante
Une très bonne imprimante pour la maison, facile a l'installer et a la connecter sans fils et l'arrivage était dans l’échéance.

Seems decent.
Works great... check the price of the replacement toner cartridges, think they are a little pricy compared to others, but great buy, if u print about 10 pages a month!

Basic B/W printer for business needs - Buy the bigger toner - It's half the cost per print!
There are two types of users that will like this printer: home users and business users. I can tell you right now its tailored to small/medium businesses, However I think its better suited to home users/home office.Connectivity is good - However You'll need to provide your own cables if you go a wired route. USB and Network Cable not included. The "starter" toner it includes states is good for 3100 pages, but I haven't had time to test that. I'm wondering if perhaps it is half filled because that model (052) doesn't say "starter" when looking for replacements. The toner cartridges also appear to include the transfer drum, which is great for home and small office, as you basically get the part that "wears out" or needs cleaning/replacement on most printers with each toner cartridge. The down side is that at nearly 6 cents per print after tax, the low yield 052 toner is terrifically expensive per print for a b/w printer. The GOOD news is that the high capacity toner lowers the cost per print to under 3 cents per page, which is typical for a smaller volume printer. What is a little bit upsetting is that that high yeild cartridge is $240 dollars.... for a $265 dollar printer at the time of this review. This printer and its "print engine" (its guts) are quite popular, and as a result, 3rd party toner offerings are available. Quality is questionable but the costs are too - 80 bucks for a replacement toner instead of $240. You're gambling but in this case, when a toner is worth 90% the cost of the machine, it might be worth it. Even if the knockoff toners destroy/clog your machine after 2-3 cartridges, its STILL cheaper.regarding 5 seconds to first printout - I was only able to obtain this via USB connection. Wireless connections slowed this down greatly. (to 12 seconds)If you're using this at a reception to print invoices, make sure you're connected via USB.One thing I was REALLY impressed about this printer is just how low profile it is. It'll fit on a shelf! (granted it'll stick out a bit from most shelves) but the fact that is low profile allows you to stash it away in places you normally wouldn't be able to fit a printer that prints this quickly. Its under a foot tall even with the LCD screen. So long story short: this is a great Black and White, No frills printer for a small office, but high toner costs in relation to the printer itself are an annoyance. Thankfully this can be fixed by aftermarket toner or at minimum buying the high capacity 052H toner.

A great high-speed monochrome laser printer
This is a great small business monochrome laser printer. The printer itself is a bit large, but nothing excessive. Although there are smaller monochrome printers available, for something with duplex printing, this is about what you would expect. Just don't think that you are going to tuck it away somewhere small. After unpacking everything and taking off all the tape I don't have any complaints about its physical appearance. It is a conservative look that won't draw attention in a workplace. I am a fan of enclosed paper trays. If you don't print too often, having something enclosed means you get significantly less dust on the top sheet of paper. The tray itself was easy to load and remove. The toner also comes pre-installed. There is also quite a bit of extra room for a larger toner cartridge, so I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a high capacity one.The initial setup of the printer over wifi was a breeze. I had no issues connecting to my network and the entire process took no more than a few minutes to complete. There is something to be said for the simplicity of a printer without all the bells and whistles. The print speed is just amazing for something at this price point. They advertise high-speed and that's exactly what you get. It is worth noting that this doesn't do one pass duplex printing. If you want to print something on both sides the printer will need to print one side, bring the page back in, and then print on the other. However, even when doing this it is still quite fast, just not incredibly so. This does not hinder the printer at all. One pass duplex printing doesn't even exist at this form factor or even at ten times the price.Connecting the printer to your computer is incredibly easy. In Windows 10 I just opened up the printer settings, clicked add printer, and it scanned for a network printer and automatically installed all drivers. Once that's done you are good to go. Printer setup is done through a web interface, not requiring any additional software. Just enter the printers IP address into a browser and it comes right up.

Very quick printer, easy to setup
One of the best features of this printer is you can plop it down anywhere that has an electrical outlet, and you should be able to print no problem. This printer offers a wide variety of connectivity options, including USB, ethernet, and WiFi. It is also capable of WiFi Direct printing, which to me is a very handy feature when printing from a phone.Setup was painless using the included software. The software even guided me through the configuration of the printer on my Wireless network with very step by step instructions. Because of the difficulty of entering long WiFi passwords, I found that using WPS saves me a lot of frustration. Even when plugged into the network, Windows automatically detected the printer and grabbed the driver from Windows Update. Very painless. As far as printing performance goes, this printer takes about 5 seconds from sleep to completing it's first print job. That is a very fast time considering the fuser has to warm up in this time. After this "first job", the printer will print at up to 40 pages per minute when printing on letter pages. That is very quick turn around time for such a compact device.
