Q: can you connect the lengths together

It is 5m long. If you want to connect 2 strips together, it is okay, but the end will be dim a little than the first of strips because of voltage drop.

Q: How you connect the led lights to a regular light switch?

These lights are 12 VDC. So, you need a 12 volt transformer connected to the LEDs. Use the switch to control the power supplied to the transformer. I recommend using a "switching" power supply / transformer which is very effecient.

Q: Can these be hooked right to 12v running lights on a vehicle
