These are the BEST curtain rods on amazon. VERY sturdy & strong. Best of all it came in ONE piece which is the main reason I kept THIS one. I bought other curtain rods from a few other companies through Amazon & have sent every single one of them back- most without even opening the boxes why ? Because most all other companies send you a curtain rod thats supposed to be one long piece, however they're sent to you in SMALL PIECES that you have to put together !!! This makes them extremely weak & then they bow in the middle even with sheer curtains ! Its obvious the curtains rods are in small pieces when you receive a 12 inch long box for an 80 inch long curtain rod !!! But NOT THESE ! THESE are GREAT !!! 😊 They come to your house in a long box ( like their supposed to !) and one long piece ! VERY STRONG METAL ! Amazon should ONLY ALLOW THIS company to sell curtain rods ! Delete the deceitful companies who waste customers valuable TIME !!!!!

My cats used my last curtain rods for a catwalk and the metal gave way under their weight. I ordered these because they appeared to be heavy duty. They are. They are also finished off all around so there are no razor sharp edges anywhere to rip the curtains. All the hardware is included although I couldn't get my old hardware off and these fit nicely on the old stuff. The new hardware is made better and screws in to the wall. My old ones are nailed in and I risked damage to the wall getting them out. I needed a 60" rod. I got the 48/84 inch (that measurement may be wrong. I'm not going to look it up for the review.) After I ordered it, I decided to look for a center support bracket to help keep my cats up. They are about $5. I decided to wait till I got this rod so I could get exactly what I needed. Surprise! The center support came with the new rod. I couldn't be happier. I also like the 2" clearance from the wall instead of the 3" I had before. Great product.

I really do not like shopping. Yes, I could have driven 15 minutes to the big box store to get this rod for the same price, but who wants to do that when it is 92* outside and feels like 102*? And you know what? I think the quality is better than the ones I have gotten in the big box store. Amazon saves me every day. Seriously. I love being on a first name basis with the UPS man. My window is 30" wide and the previous owner had the brackets in the wall already set at 34". So this rod, which fits 28" to 48" works perfectly. It holds well, and is made solidly. I am very happy with my purchase and would purchase this again for another window if I needed to in the future.

I ordered this rod last year but was able to install it only recently. I'm very pleased with it. I have heavy duty double room darkening curtains on it and it supports them easily. All hardware and instructions were included. I installed the rod myself with no problem (unless you count poor measuring, and that's not the rod's fault!) I've lived in apartments for years and have always just left my curtain rods behind when I moved. Next time I go, I'm taking this rod with me. The only thing I wish they would do - and this is not a complaint, only an observation - is include one each extra screw, wall hanger, and center support bracket. I didn't need them, but one might lose or bend a small part such as that and need to replace it. It should add very little cost to the product and would boost customer relations at the outset. I wouldn't hesitate to order this rod again if I had the need for it.

The instructions tell you to use 1/8" drill bit and then push the wall anchors into the holes. I tried that unsuccessfully. What I then did was take the screws and screw them into the 1/8" holes and then backed them out. Then I took the anchors and twisted them into the holes. They still did not go into the holes but did open up the opening of the hole. Then I used a small hammer and lightly tapped the anchor into the hole. You can feel when the anchor is going into the hole. Just keep lightly tapping until it is fully in the hole. If you hit them too hard they will bend. The anchors are then tightly in the holes and you can tightly secure the brackets to the wall. An easier and cheaper way to install curtains. They curve toward the wall so as to keep the sun from coming in on the sides. I have more expensive curtain rods and they do not curve on the ends and sunlight comes thru. Expensive is not always the best. Save some money and get these.

One of my bathroom windows is only 30" high by 20" wide. This curtain/valance rod fit perfectly as I installed it a few inches wider on each side of the window to give the illusion that the window was bigger than the actual size. Installation was simple, a couple of anchors and screws on each side...complete! Just make sure you measure at least twice to ensure it is centered properly. Very sturdy, no problems holding up a set of two room darkening valances. It does extend out about 2 inches from the wall and it also expands in the width by approximately 48" if needed. UPDATE: 3/2020 - I POSTED ANOTHER PICTURE so you can see the size of the rod relative to a ruler. Hope this helps!

Though it’s a little more expensive than others, it’s very sturdy and worth the price

UPDATE as of July, 2024: The rod has held up fine. I actually just changed out the old panels for a new set of semi-sheers a week ago, and there were no issues. Rod did not bend during the change-out, and the brackets are still securely screwed into the wall. Weight of these slightly heavier curtains has not been an issue so far. Keeping the 3-star rating for now while I see how the rod holds up over time. =============================== These rods are incredibly hard to find at the size, thickness, and depth that I needed. This was the only option I found, and after waiting three weeks for it to arrive it came in an undamaged box with plenty of paper packing; yet the rod was bent inward at both ends, with one end completely crushed where it would attach to the wall. Clearly damaged during packing. Requested a replacement, which took another two or three weeks to arrive. That one was shipped loose in the box, no paper packing material at all. This was was slightly bent at one end, but I was able to gently move it back into position and make it mountable. Once mounted, it appears to be strong enough to support the four sheer curtains I have for the window without any strain along the rod at all. Not sure how this rod would hold up with more-substantial curtains mounted on it. I cannot install the support hook that it came with, due to the double window the rod is mounted around having a metal frame covered by a thin wood veneer; no way to drill a hole in the window’s center for the hook to go in. So I’m glad the rod appears strong enough on its own. I’m just hoping that the ends don’t bend over time, given how easily both rods had issues on delivery.
