SA Smoothing Cream Pot With Salicylic Acid, 10% Urea, & 3 Essential Ceramides, Gentle Exfoliating Body Cream for Dry Rough Bumpy Skin, Fast-Absorbing, Dermatologist Developed

I appear to suffer from something called Keratolysis Exfoliativa, where about every 2-3 months my fingers start peeling and the skin becomes sore. It starts very small with an inocuous looking blister on one finger and then that escalates over a week to several fingers, all peeling in various areas. It causes some soreness and discomfort but also looks really weird. I've tried lots of handcreams in the past to try and help ease the symptoms but none seem to work... so this time I decided to do some more research, and discovered I needed a product with Urea in (essential) so I found this CeraVE SA Smoothing Cream. It's amazing! It's working so well and managing to keep my fingers and hands hydrated and protected. The finger that started peeling this time has still been peeling away but it's not sore as usual, and also the edges of the peeling are soft, rather than being dry. This means less catching on fabric etc. The cream is not only 10% Urea but it's also adding in Salicylic acid and ceramides to protect the peeled and exposed under-skin. And I can certainly tell the difference. Also.... I can't solely put this part down to the cream (as I don't know why) but the peeling hasn't spread from the origin finger yet. This is very unusual, so I'm guessing the cream must be helping in this regard too, in some way. Because washing my hands makes the skin condition worse I am making sure I reapply the CeraVe after every hand washing, and I'm also using a decent amount on my hands before I go to sleep, to hydrate and protect overnight. It's absorbed well, so it's very easy to apply and use. You get a big pot for the money too, so wil last me ages. Thoroughly recommend this product for any dry and sore skin.

As someone with ketarosis pilaris, this definitely sooths my skin giving it a less rough texture.

Can feel it working. The urea & salicylic acid combo is a good % so you only need a thin layer. I have skin on my forehead that flakes too fast, this combats that. It dissolves the flaky layer then moisturises & protects the skin barrier. On application you can feel slight tingling- that's the cream working on the bumpy or flaky layer. I also have bumpy lower legs that I've been using this on. Again can feel the tingly effect for a few minutes. But I can genuinely see some difference. Note- I've only had this for a few days so a difference already is surprising.

My favourite smoothing cream. I use this on elbows ,knees and heels daily and keeps my skin lovely and soft. Huge tub for the price, lasts ages.

I absolutely love the Cerave SA Cleanser, great for skin congestion, but was a bit dissappointed pairing it with this moisturiser to use afterwards. I started using this as a replacement to a basic Salicylic acid moisturiser, thinking it would be better, but to be honest, think I'm going to go back to that one as it's cheaper and seemed to work just as well. The cream itself is quite a thick texture and I found it really difficult to rub in. It also piles really badly on the skin no matter what you do. So I'd end up with bits of unabsorbed cream all over my skin flaking off. In terms of performance, it's decent, I don't think any of these types of cream are quick fixes or miracle cures for congestion (I use it for bacne/dark spots as part of a multi-step routine) but it seems to help keep skin smooth bump free and helps a bit with dark spots. Maybe over a longer period it wpuld help further. I've only used one tube of this so wonder if I've been unlucky & had a bad batch, not sure if any other reviewers complain of piling?

A very good cream not greasy at all

I've been using this cream regularly for the past 4 years and have already finished 8 tubs, which says everything about how much I trust it. It keeps my skin soft, smooth, and well moisturized without feeling heavy or greasy. It has become a staple in my skincare routine, and I always go back to it. If you're looking for a reliable body moisturizer that delivers consistent results, I highly recommend it. I'll definitely keep repurchasing it.

Etant atteint d'une forme de psoriasis (peau qui se renouvelle trop vite) je peux vous dire qu'il s'agit de la combinaison de principes actifs la plus efficace contre la rugosité de la peau : l'acide salicylique et l'urée tout deux présents sont les principaux kératolytiques sur le marcher, c'est à dire qu'ils ont la fonction chimique d'exfolient doux, progressifs : c'est pour cela qu'appliquer cette crème sur une peau qui en a vraiment besoin va les premières semaines/jours paraître contre productif en rendant la peau plus sèche, en fait c'est dû au processus de desquamation, mais à la fin de celui-ci je vous garantie que vous aurez une peau parfaite, lisse et douce grâce aux céramides présents qui auront eu le temps d'aider à préparer cette nouvelle peau. Il faut donc persévérer. Ceci dit à cause de ces kératolytiques, sa fonction n'est pas hydratante ! Ce n'est pas une crème à continuer à utiliser sur une peau qui n'est pas rugueuse ou obstruées (de toute façon vous n'allez pas l'aimer comme crème hydratante car comme toutes solutions à base d'urée elle pénètre mal et laisse un film collant) ! Elle peut avoir une utilité sur le visage pour les points noirs / autres comédons aussi. Tant que la peau n'est pas entièrement traitée/renouvelée, aucune utilité d'y ajouter un hydratant, au contraire il faut laisser cette crème agir seule le plus longtemps possible (donc avant de se coucher après une douche idéalement).

Ho iniziato a utilizzare la CeraVe Crema Levigante SA per migliorare alcune zone particolarmente secche e ruvide, soprattutto su braccia e gambe: fin dalle prime applicazioni ho notato una pelle più morbida al tatto e, con l'uso regolare, l'aspetto delle aree più irregolari è migliorato sensibilmente. La crema ha una consistenza corposa ma si distribuisce facilmente e non lascia una sensazione appiccicosa. Apprezzo molto il fatto che sia senza profumo e che mantenga la pelle idratata per più giorni. Un altro aspetto positivo è che, pur avendo un'azione levigante, non ho riscontrato irritazioni o fastidi. Dopo diverse settimane di utilizzo, la pelle appare più uniforme, nutrita e decisamente meno ruvida. È diventata un prodotto che utilizzo regolarmente nella mia routine quotidiana e che consiglierei a chi cerca un trattamento efficace per la pelle secca e con texture irregolare.
