Reno Gabrini: For His Lover (The Reno Gabrini/Mob Boss Series Book 14)

Wow, what a series. Mallory Monroe did not disappoint. This is one of my favorites. Reno is up there with Mick "The Tick" Sinatra. I love the way he loves his wife and family, and that alpha-male personality....love it! My heart goes out to Jimmy, he just can't seem to catch a break. Val should have kept her mouth closed and concentrated on being a good loving wife to him. Trina should have beat Jazz's butt for trying to extort money from her, especially after all Trina has done for her. I was truly disappointed in Lee Jones. This by far was one of the best book/series that I have read, I couldn't put it down. I would love to see a book where Mrs. Monroe allows the Gabrini and Sinatra clan come together and regulate the town. Great read!

YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! She's back, guys!!!! I am a Mallory Monroe STAN; however, her last three (3) books (Tommy/Grace, Mick # 4 and Big Daddy #4) kinda disappointed me. And if you knew just how much I LOVE Mick "The Tick" Sinatra, then you would know just how much it pained me to admit such disappointment. With this book, the greatness has returned!!!! And Reno and Trina are my 4th favorite couple, so I'm not just saying that because I'm all about Reno and Tree. No, this book was so awesome!! The action, drama, suspense, love/sex - it was all on point! And for once, Trina didn't irk me. It seems like she finally matured, and is truly Reno's ride/die. I really like this Trina! I read this book in one day because I could not stop turning the pages! Although they get on each others nerves, Reno and Sal are so dynamic together! This is one of the few series where I'm not missing the other guys....although it would have been great if my Mick made an appearance......just saying. I will probably read this book again this weekend - yes, it was that good! Applause/applause, Ms. Monroe!!! So looking forward to the next story!

I loved most of the book, but please Ms Monroe, have someone for Jimmy that complements him. He is still suffering from having been chosen to die. I would like to see his character develop as an educated mover and shaker. The best way to break the rules is to learn them first. He needs to be kick-a $$ in a boardroom/law office way. And Valerie is not a mate for him. "First rule of Fight club..." mantra must be learned by Valerie. Jimmy really needs a Gemma-type woman. Valerie's character just never developed for me; along the lines of Grace for Tommy. They need strong women as well.

When Mallory Monroe comes back with another addition to what is a excellent series,and its about the first family aka Reno and Trina,you know you are going to get something spectacular!This was a story with a mature Reno and Trina who not only love and trust one another but will go to hell and back to protect that love and family.I love that there are moments when you just out right laugh out loud and sigh when you know once again that this family is pulled in again.But as always don't count a Gabrini out.This was good and it was fresh and moved at a pace were you never get down time or a dull moment.

I've consistently enjoyed every book by Ms. Monroe and I'm working my way chronologically through her work. I'm glad in this book Reno is beginning to understand that he needs to make more time for his family. It's been getting annoying that he judges Sal for constantly traveling and being away when he is doing the same thing. The double standard he has on Tree is ridiculous he has to know he every step but he isn't considerate enough to not be in a motel room need next to a naked women?? I think he really needs to work on his communication Trina is a strong partner and he can share his burden with her tell her what he is working late nights on. He thinks he is sparing her the stress but instead he is causing her uncertainty and stress. *Spoilers * In terms of Jimmy and Val I'm over it over been over her since she tried to seduce Reno. Honestly it's not just her cheating on him because like Jimmy said he cheated as well. My gripe is she puts Jimmy down every chance she gets. Picking at his insecurities, when she said Jimmy wasn't fit to tie Reno's shoe let alone cookie his footsteps and Reno called her out on it. Jimmy saying she says stuff like that all the time broke my heart. Also how disgusted she is that Jimmy is bi-curious is very intolerant her gripe should be that he cheated not with who. Jimmy needs someone better for him just like Tommy deserved better. Unfortunately Liz was vilified and made to do things that were very out of character. It's unfortunate that Tommy had been written as someone unable to handle an alpha woman to match him. Instead we have Grace crawling back with uneven character development. I won't forget how she consistently uses him for money disgusted that she accepted alimony when she remarried and asked Tommy to stay away from his own daughter. Honestly I at least have how that Jimmy will leave Val or she'll be killed off but I know Grace is here to stay. I'll still read Tommy's books because he is my second favorite character but I'll be skimming past the romantic scenes and focusing on the action and drama. Super happy Sal and Gemma are finally have a baby. Fingers crossed its smith sailing. Sal is the most nurturing male character and he deserves a chance to raise children. He's had no love from his parents and he has so much love to give.

I chose a 5rating because I could not give it a 10. Me. Monroe never disappoints. I wad there when the found out about Jimmy, when Dommi was born till now.. story is hilarious, full of drama and love of family. Not your typical mob story. Please read the full series and all the others that follow in between. Can't wait for the next story. Big Daddy, Mick the tick, Sal or Reno!

This book was action pack, Ms Monroe, put her foot on this one. I love it from beginning till end. Poor jimmy I'm praying ms Monroe will get it right for him, I want to see him to be happy and in love just like his father; especially after everything he been through. For a minute Tree had me scared with the motel scene, am I the only one who think she become a lot like Reno lol. I am so happy for Sal can't wait for him and Gem book. On a seriously note why is jazz still walking around Vegas, Tree need to get rid of her asap. Question though Is that a private school Dommi attending, if so why can't they discipline him? Tree and Reno need to find a better school for them or homeschool them. Can jimmy move back to Vegas, he needs to be near his parents. To me Jimmy was a hero in this book and I'm proud oh him, his father didn't sal or tommy because he was there for his family proud of him. Now he just need a woman on his level to compliment him. Anyway I love the book couldn't put it down.

First, let me say, I don't blame Ms. Monroe, but I really don't have much reaction to give to this story. Reno, Tree, Sal, Gemma (and their news), a readable storyline, -- all good points for a Mob Boss Series book to have -- but, it just didn't grab my interest. Pretty much, I could tell what the end would be during the prologue. That never a good sign for me, but I was determined to complete the book and review it fairly. To be kind, I gave this one 3 stars. Judging by all the other reviews, this must be a great story. But for me, I just didn't catch anything new, exciting or interesting. I don't understand Val and Jimmy. I almost would have preferred a clean break, but ... And Reno and Tree's kids: What? So, on a certain level, I'm sure these stories will continue on. As for me, Ms. Monroe will probably say to me, "Good riddance," as I bid her books "Adieu!"

This is such a fantastic read. Each character was given due diligence but the story line was about Reno and Trina. I love how Mallory centre the theme of the book about family. It was so sweet to see Reno reconnecting with his children As what I always say Mallory writing is like fine wine. It gets better and better with every book she pens Thanks for such a great read

I am always so very happy to see another of Mallory Monroe's Gabrini series pop up well Gabrini and Sinatra. This book made my day! I was worried about the drama this time I hoped we wouldn't lose any of our favorite characters and then I remembered who I was talking about! I am so glad Mallory Monroe wouldn't do that to me....right? Despite the emotional rollercoaster ride another wonderful story. All in all, there's lots of scheming (that never ends well for the schemer's. When will they ever learn) had a bit of a cry over Jimmy wanted to slap Val and had a good laugh over the antics of many of the characters especially Reno. I agree with everybody's views on the book except one thing. Get rid of Val she has out lived her purpose just like jazz. I can not wait for Sals babyGod help who ever crosses him when his wife is pregnant.

I love alpha male stories but I'm finding the Gabrini series too over the top. All this drama on a weekly basis, no sound people would survive that. It's all too unbelievable and Val and Jimmy's issue was just one drama too many. I keep reading these books when they come out but I'm becoming more and more disappointed that the stories just merge into the same old same old!

A good read, as usual. However, predictable in some places, but Monroe has adopted the knack for suspense. I'll miss the gabrini family
