The media could not be loaded.  This device finds most all embedded metal in wood. It will save your saw blades and planer knives if you work with pallets or other reclaimed wood.Very sensitive when nails are embedded in my lumber, it locates them quickly allows me to keep planning and get it done.Has two sensitivity modes red switch it can detect metal from about 4” apart, the black switch need to be completely close to the area to detect anything, also has two alert modes beeping or vibration, which can be easily change pushing the small black button on the right side. Easy to carry, lightweight and well made.It works on a 9V battery which is included, also you can buy a rechargeable 9V battery and a charger to charge straight from the detector (rechargeable battery and charger are not included).Overall it is small light weight and easy to use, scan for bits of metal in reclaimed lumber I using in my woodworking projects. It finds even tiny pieces of nails that have been broken off, with this you’ll save expensive saw and tool blades from damage. Recommended.

Overall it does what I need it to do which is look for metal in wood prior to plaining and working with it.

It will find the nails in wood and staples before plaining.. just need to adjust the settings. Works great

As advertised. Works well, detects items as small as paper clips in jeans pockets. Will detect vapes such as Juul device. Not the best I have ever used, but for the cost does it’s job.

Light weight, easy grip, using it to find nails in wood 1x12 by 20’ Boards came from a dismanteled rural church roof when run through the planer the old growth pine looks great. The remains of 6 penny nails imbedded can take out the planer blades which cost twice as much as this scanner.

Junk. Don't waste your money. May detect an anvil if you don't have a cotton sheet over it. Tried turning up the sensitivity, didn't change a thing. Waited over a month for it to get here, return window closed, can't return. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

PITA to tweak accuracy and precision. I finally got it-but damn!!! It arrives NOT EVEN CLOSE to usable!

I never like to complain unless it need be. I guess for price I am not too sad we dont use it. It doesnt work as said it does. But still ok with it cuz it didnt cost much.

New works well! Found my new pruning shears in 5min (under the mulch). :-)
