Works great, fits great, and is decently priced.
I had this terrible noise that I was looking for for months. It first sounded like a pump was struggling and was very faint, but noticeable. Then it sounded more like a grinding noise (so I thought it was a pulley, so I replaced the idlers and supercharger pulley), then it got louder and went from a high pitch to a low pitch then finally back to high pitch and super loud. Loud enough to finally hear where it was coming from and it was this fan. I installed this fan on my 2006 Mini Cooper S and it bolts up perfectly. The noise is gone and it seems to be working just as it needs. I was scared that this fan was going to cost $100+ but this was a good deal and it is the whole assembly, where many others only provide the fan for the same price. If anything happens to the fan in the next year or so, I will update my review, but for now, everything is great!

Super easy install, quick fix
2 nuts and 1 plug … removed & reinstalled on my 2003 MINI Cooper S in 10 minutes. It literally took longer to jack up the car than it did to complete the fix. I do need to point out that I have a Hotchkis TVS Stage 2 lowering kit installed which dropped my car about 1" below standard, so that makes jacking it up a bit more involved.I'm the original owner of the vehicle and this is my second replacement of the Power Steering Fan (PSF) Assembly. This is a known design issue related to the cooling of the Electro Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) Unit, and I now know there are aftermarket direct cooling options available to address this issue too.The factory original PFS Assembly did not have a protective screen over the fan, so object damage could have played a part in its failure. My first replacement PFS Assembly did not come with a protective screen either, so I bought and installed an after market option with it. I mention this because it means I got an average lifespan of 7.5 years out of the first 2 PFS Assemblies. This (the second) PFS Assembly DID come with a protective screen pre-installed, and I hope to get more than 7.5 years of life out of it.As I recall, my first replacement was about 50% more expensive than the second replacement, so the price is going down. When you hold the product, you know how it functions and you know how easy the fix is, the cost seems a bit high. But, you've got to have it because if you fry the EHPS Unit you're probably going to be closer to a $1,000.00 fix (if you do it yourself).

Direct replacement
It is sad the design flaw from Mini Cooper, and the fact I will need to add some sort of mesh to protect in the future.Bolted right in, and the plug was also the same.

Fits and works perfectly
Easy install. Fits like the original. The reason I replaced the original was that it was making a whining noise. The location of the fan by design makes it in immediate contact with road grime, moisture and dirt and in my case after 13 years, the bearings and/or seals in the electric motor of the original fan had gone bad (which is probably why the whining noise was occurring). The replacement fan by Dorman fixed the issue. It took only about 15 minutes to install. You have to jack up the car or put it on a ramp, and from there it is easy access.

It does the job!
The cooling fan for the power steering on my 2006 Cooper died causing the power steering pump to fail. Cooling fan replacement was quick and easy after the pump replacement. Everything is working like it should just like the OEM unit. Recommend the cooling fan!

Cool
Held on with 2 bolts. Hardest part of this job is getting the mini high enough to access the fan.

Easy Swap Out For Original
Took 5 minutes to swap out. Longer to jack up the Mini. Perfect fit.
