I have applied two rolls of this tape to my cat but she is still scratching the furniture, what am i doing wrong ?

My cat do not scratch where the tape is but I had to provide and demonstrate where to scratch. Looked silly but worked. So not forget the treats after successful scratching the pole.

If this is double sided sticky tape, does fluff and dust stick to it?

When I used it on TV unit, no not noticeably. When I used it on our bed, some fluff stuck but not until it had been in place for some months and as the roll is a good size, it can just be replaced. The advantages of the tape far outweigh this

Will this mark a leather sofa?

It advises in the blurb that it can be used on leather though!

Would this work on my stairs carpet?

If it’s where you’re going to be walking then, no. When the tape is down it has a sticky surface (which is what prevents the cat from scratching) and so you wouldn’t want to be walking on it.
