Great product, delivers what it says no issues so far, amazing kit for the price.
I recently upgraded my home network setup with this Switch, and it has proven to be excellent. First and foremost, the setup was a breeze. It truly lives up to the "plug and play" promise, allowing me to have it up and running within minutes. The auto-negotiation feature ensures that it seamlessly connects at the highest possible speed, making the most of my network's capabilities. The gigabit Ethernet ports deliver lightning-fast data transfer rates, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my network's performance. Whether it's streaming, online gaming, or large file transfers, this switch handles it all with ease. I easily get the full speed with no issues. I have this on the 2nd floor and have several devices plugged into it and so far have not experienced any slowness or dropouts. The build quality is also solid, and the plastic case is durable. The switch's compact design is ideal for my space, and it does not look out of place among the other devices I have. I also appreciate the energy-saving feature, which helps reduce power consumption when ports are not in use. It's a thoughtful addition that aligns with my efforts to maintain an eco-friendly home. I highly recommend this network switch to anyone in need of a cost-effective and efficient solution to expand their network capabilities. It's a top-notch choice!

Reliable Plug-and-Play PoE Switch โ Perfect for powering Outdoor Access Points
Not a great deal to say. Itโs a switch that does exactly what itโs supposed to. Iโm using it to power a TP-Link outdoor access point on a Starlink satellite broadband system. Setup was completely plug-and-playโno configuration needed at all. The PoE works flawlessly, delivering power and data over a single cable, which made installation much cleaner and simpler than having a separate power supply. Build quality feels solid, it runs silently as expected with no noticeable heat issues. If you need a reliable, no-fuss PoE switch for a small setup, this is a great choice. Highly recommended!

TP-LINK TL-SG1005D V6 5-Port - Perfect for TalkTalk Essentials users with no spare router ports.
This small 5 port switch is perfect for expanding the number of ports available with a setup such as the TalkTalk essentials / Youview / TP-LINK TL-PA210 (200Mbps Powerline box) configuration; Purchased this for my Father-in-Law who is really impressed with the reliability and speed. My father-in-law had his TalkTalk essentials router (2 port / WiFi N class version) in an *upstairs* office location with a Desktop PC connected and the TP-LINK TL-PA210 IP over Powerline box (connected to his Youview box *downstairs*) - this fills the 2 available switch ports on the essentials router leaving nothing spare. Downstairs - his WiFi was not the best signal or reliable. Downstairs, he had his Youview box underneath his TV connected to the other (2nd) TL-PA210 - with no spare port capacity underneath his TV for anything else. When he asked me how best to connect his other devices, such as his Android TV (MXQ box) - this was the cheapest and most reliable solution. At best, his WiFi signal was poor in the downstairs location, so using a switch solved two problems. One - it gave him extra ethernet ports for expansion downstairs, and two - it solved the unreliable WiFi signal issues as we now use the Powerline (wired) connection. Easy peasy setup - a) remove the ethernet cable from the rear of the YouView and plug it into the first switch port #1 b) Connect a suitable ethernet cable CSL - 1m CAT.6 Flat Ethernet Gigabit Lan Network Cable (RJ45) | 10/100/1000Mbit/s | Patch cable / broadband cable | compatible with CAT.5 / CAT.5e / CAT.7 from the Youview box to the Port#2 on the switch. c) Connect another ethernet cable from MXQ box ethernet port to switch port #3.. We used the 1 Metre CSL flat cables as they are well made cables and just a nice length to keep the back of the TV spaghetti in check.

Cheap and but very cheerful for a PoE switch!
Note: This is for the LS105GP, a LiteWave PoE+ model. Not the LS105G, nor the TL-SG1005D. Needed a switch to power my desk phone and the landline base station at home and was sick of using PoE injectors. This one seemed good and yeah, it really is for ยฃ33, which is how much I paid. It has an auto-recovery function, which the manual says is for rebooting devices which are behaving abnormally. I can only assume this means it will temporarily cut power to that device's port, then restore it. It's not enabled by default but has a hardware toggle switch on the back. There's also a switch to extend the PoE range of ports 1 and 2. The 65W PoE budget is very good for the price, though I'll never get to maxing it out I suspect. It only has four PoE+ ports instead of all five, so the fifth port lacks it. This creates a slight oddity as that means port 5 is now your uplink to your router (or another switch), but that's not much of an issue. The only gripes I have with this thing are as follows: 1. The Ethernet jacks are plastic. This seems to follow the LiteWave design where products are made cheaper by omitting higher quality metal RJ45 ports. In the short term I doubt this will be an issue, but perhaps something to note. 2. The power brick is larger than the switch itself. It's scarily large for just 70 watts! I hope one day gallium nitride power supplies trickle down to cheap PoE switches like this one. 3. The mains cable included with the brick is miserably short, which is very unlike TP-Link. It's one of the 'Mickey Mouse' IEC C5/C6 cables. In conclusion, it's a really dinky little switch that I like, but that power brick is too large and the plastic Ethernet jacks raise durability concerns. However, for ยฃ35-40, it's still worth the money.

Maybe I haven't been living in Europe long enough but when ordering for German delivery on the .de website I do not expect tp receive the product with a UK power plug. Will change it myself but disappointed. :-(
