Jabra 100-43100000-60 Speak 510 MS Wireless Bluetooth Speaker for Softphone and Mobile Phone

So I've had this for about 3 months now and I have to say what a bloody awesome job Jabra have done. This device definitely continues to maintain their reputation for well designed and manufactured products. Aesthetically: this is a great little unit: nice and compact with minimal and very clear symbols that are self-explanatory as to their function. And the touch-sensitive symbols work really well - Jabra have managed to get the perfect balance of not requiring too much pressure but needing more than a fly or accidental brush so there's very little chance of accidentally killing a call mid-conference. Usability: I use this with a Windows Surface Pro (mach 1), Nokia Lumia 930 mobile phone and an iPad Mini 3. Pairing is as simple as it should be. - once that is done, life gets even more simple: just turn it on and within seconds it's connected with a clear voice confirmation that removes any doubt. Similarly when you power off there's a voice confirmation of "disconnected." The little pouch that it comes with is handy. I chuck the speaker in my bag and it gets lugged around from customer site to customer site, often with a loving lob onto the car's back seat or boot. While the pouch is starting to fade through wear, it does a good job of stopping the speaker from get scratched :) Battery life hasn't been a problem. I haven't actually measured it because ... well, I haven't needed to! I probably only use this for about 6 hours / week and generally remember my ABCs (Always Be Charging). The longest I've used it for a conference call would be an hour and a half and the longest time in between uses would be about 3 weeks (over Christmas / New Year break) and the battery didn't lose its charge. Something that I hadn't picked up on in the marketing bumf is that when plugged in via USB to my Windows Surface Pro, it still works with my mobile via Bluetooth. From the product info I thought that plugging in via USB over-rode / disengaged the Bluetooth so this is a pleasant surprise. All up - I'm really impressed with this. Would I use it for beach or social use? Probably not - but for this contract project manager who needs simplicity, reliability, good sound quality and solid build quality, this is handsdown a winner. And no - I have no affiliation whatsoever with Jabra or any other tech manufacturer so this is a completely unbiased review.

Pros: It flawlessly pairs with your phone (in my case iphone 7) It also works well with Microsoft Lync / Skype for Business. The speaker will comfortably fill a large (14 person conference room), or can be turned down to a whisper quiet level. At all volume levels it sounds amazing. People on the other end of my calls report that it sounds like i'm in their room, crisp and clear. It doesn't give a tunnel effect The devise is simple to use and intuitive. Regarding the 15 hour battery life, I've only needed to use it for at most 9 hours straight and it still reported more than 50% battery remaining. I think the 15 hour estimate is based on full volume. It also sounds great playing music. I'm not an audiophile so your milage may vary. Cons: (first world problems) All the buttons are capacitive touch areas around the bezel. I would rather have the mute button in the center of the speaker because it is by far the most frequently used. If it were in the center, I would have less hunt/peck for it. The buttons are at the same level as a keyboard, and I occasionally accidentally hang up while using this directly next to my computer. So I have to remember to move it away. The microphone opening is under the power button, so if you point this at you and want to press the mute button you need reach all the way over to the far side where the mute button is. Bottomline: This is a great product and I would buy this again.

I have been looking for a Bluetooth enabled, long battery life, CLEAR speakerphone to work with my LYNC, SKYPE and SmartPhone. This little gem rocks! The built-in USB cable is for charging and cleverly wraps around a hollow space in the base so it is hidden while in use/charging. The charge lasts forever. There is a battery indicator as part of the controls. You can answer, hangup, check battery status, increase/decrease volume, mute and finally there is a Bluetooth indicator on the top of this amazing speakerphone. My Windows 8.1 machine recognized the Bluetooth device. Then after the initial install, I simply turn it on and BINGO it is my default speaker/microphone. I do many mini videos and a good microphone is essential. This built-in mic is crisp and amplified. My short videos are always received with clear audio. Finally an application that I use it for while on the road. Often I have conference calls with customers that don't have one of those fancy conference room speakerphones. No problem. I whip out the JABRA 510 and the entire room can hear and when somebody at the end of the table speaks, he/she can be heard. It works well and the customer appreciates that I am prepared. Buy this product with confidence. Trust me a tecno road warrior with lots of Bluetooth audio device experience.

I bought a Jabra 510 about a year ago for use with Skype on my home PC (Windows 7 64bit). During the 12 months it has been flawless and the call quality is excellent with no echo, and people can hear me even when I am walking around my home study rather than sitting. I use the Jabra for Skyping the family who live in Australia and UK, as well as for work calls when at home. I prefer using it in place of a headset as it lets me get up and walk around more freely. I liked the Jabra 510 so much that I've just bought a 2nd one to use on my Macbook Air (once again with Skype) for business calls. I bought the 2nd Jabra as I have my work Macbook Air in a different room to my home PC and didn't want to keep unplugging the original Jabra and moving it. Well worth the $90 price! The only negatives I can give are: 1) Confusion on the different 510 versions available. The Jabra website lists 5 different versions of the 510 and it is not readily apparent what the differences are. I have since found out that the two '+' versions include a USB Bluetooth dongle if you wish to connect wirelessly to a PC/Mac that does not have built in Bluetooth. All 5 versions appear to still come with the USB cable for direct connectivity. Other than that the only differences appear to be whether they are certified by Microsoft or Cisco/Avaya/Unify. 2) The couple of times I have tried connecting by Bluetooth the people listening have stated the call quality is not so good. This could be due to local interference, however I prefer using the USB cable anyway so this is not really an issue for me. A+ for this product. Highly recommended.

My Jabra is in the top left corner of the picture. So from where I sit/stand, it’s about 2 feet away. I can be speaking pretty quietly (a little less than normal volume) and people on the other end still say they can hear me clearly. No need to project your voice. Just talk normally like someone is beside you. When muted, the lights all turn red so you visually can know it’s not picking up your sound. You can mute from your meeting app or straight from your Jabra by touching the mute icon around the rim. Have had this for a couple years and it still works without issue.

Great product and very useful for business travel and frequent conference calls. Synced up with MS Lync without issues. Product works phenomenal in my opinion, with one caveat. Only gripe is that I bought the bluetooth version so that I could connect to my computer's bluetooth -- but that does not work, because you need the jabra bluetooth adapter dongle to connect via computer, even if your computer has a compatible bluetooth adapter -- all so Jabra can charge $50. Cell phone bluetooth works fine, just computers do not. It did lose a star -- and that's on Jabra -- solely for selling a bluetooth product that will only connect to devices other than a computer, unless you spend an extra $50 for their specific bluetooth adapter. And if this was clearly noted on their product descriptions (their website, amazon, etc), I would not have downgraded the rating; however, I had to do a lot of digging and email Jabra to find that tidbit out.

I bought as I started to work from home and it has been almost close to 10 months since I bought this and I use it almost every day for work. I do have Bose Bluetooth as well, which I love especially while traveling. But I cannot use it for all calls. Some calls you are just listening in and gets boring with Bluetooth and on single ear. So I needed one with good speaker phone just like the Cisco phones I enjoyed at office. After reading several reviews and a recommendation from a friend, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. This comes very close to it the quality of the office Cisco desk phone or Polycom phones. I have used it now for many months, I never had anyone from the other side (either a bride call, or to someone's cell or desk phone), complain about quality of the call. Charges hold up very well and last quite long. Volume adjustments on the instrument and mute button works excellent. It is very light and small, you can easily carry around along with your laptop which I do all the time moving from bedroom to living. Only cons I see it is that you can only register with two devices. I have my iPhone and iPad mini (for music and media) registered to it. If I need to add third I need to forego one of them. You can play music from this, but OK for a short while or to listen to couple of songs. It is not designed for it, and I did not expect it either. Overall I am happy. Bit pricey, but quality and convenience it brings justifies it.

I've worked in IT since 2018, and I recommend this to everyone who asks for a speaker that's very portable, cuts out excess audio, and doesn't create sound feedback loops like most laptops. You can talk and hear your meeting participants just fine without and extra setup or driver downloads. It's really just plug and play. I do usually suggest the USB cable version, simply because I still have issues with bluetooth staying synced in 2026, and there's just always better audio quality with the lower latency of a physical cable.

En mi caso, lo compré ya cansado de estar tantas y tantas horas con los cascos puestos, en todas las llamadas de teams del teletrabajo. Aunque el aparato lleva bastantes, pero que bastantes años en el mercado, sigue haciendo su trabajo al mejor nivel. Escucharás las voces nítidamente, e igualmente te escucharán a tí en estupendas condiciones. Es curioso que si pones música, esta se escucha de una manera bastante mediocre. Sin embargo, parece que está especialmente bien ecualizado para que las voces se escuchen estupendamente. En resumen, es muy recomendable para llamadas de trabajo (puedes conectarlo tanto a un PC como a un movil por bluetooth o USB), pero es muy desaconsejable para usarlo como reproductor de música (hay opciones especializadas mucho mejores).
