A must tool for floor demo
I am in the process of gutting a 1700 sq. foot first floor home down to the studs. I am also pulling up all the sub flooring down to the floor joists. After finding out that the person that nailed this down, insisted on using 10 nails every 5 inches, I decided to give this a try. First, for flooring planks, this tool cuts like butter through the wood lifting it up. For 4 x 8 sheets like I have, it's still a fantastic tool but you have to put a little more effort into it. This tool will pop up a 5 1/4 inch floor plank on one pry, but for 4 x 8 sheets like I am doing, it only lifts the edge of the sheet. Not the tools fault, just not really made to lift 4 x 8 sheets. But to lift the sheet where you can get another pry bar under it, this tool worked great. I am a tool guy and do not mind spending more for a quality tool. This is one of those tools. If you think you will get the same effort using a pry bar from your local big box store, you won't. This thing is heavy gauge steel and you won't be able to bend or break it. You can put all your body weight and it won't bend or break. Only thing I found that could be better is the pin that you can remove to reverse the tool kept snagging on the sheets of plywood and/or nails causing it to pop out from time to time.

Doing deck work buy this first!!
The first thing you’ll notice is this thing is heavy duty. I was really skeptical when I first purchased it. But looking at it and watching the video you can see the theory of how it works. The screws have been in these boards for 40 years or more. So very few would come out. So you just take out what you can so you can get it to move a little bit then you use this tool like they show you too and the work becomes so EASY it’s ridiculous. There’s no forcing it it’s just a couple pops back-and-forth in the boards come out without being destroyed. I’m going to be able to reuse most of the boards because of this tool I will just cut them to the next size shorter. Which will save a lot of money. If you’re going to reuse the wood this tool is going to pay for itself. I was going to build one myself but the price of this is Way Fair!! Fossett has a really nice finish on it and by the time you consider your time to build it you could already have your deck wrecked 😆 If you’re doing deck work just buy it you won’t be disappointed. The best part is you can do it standing up.

This is the best deck ripper and wrecker tools
I have been using the deck demo Monster L Model for the past two weeks and it has been a deck wrecker. I have used other wrecking bar, stanley board bender, gutster demo bar, crow bars, duck bill deck wrecker, burke bar, demolition tool, bull bar and pry bar, but no longer a secret this deck board remover has performed flawlessly. Using the deck joist it worked great as a deck board puller I also used it to demo some wooden pallets and it worked great as a pallet puller / pallet buster tool. It has been one of my better handyman tools purchases for deck board removal tool. I highly recommend it for home remodeling, removing flooring from floor joists, decking removal tool, pallet dismantling tool, siding tool removal, and a standing lifts for home use.

Deck Demo Monster deck-wrecker
I actually wanted a Duckbill Deck Wrecker but could not get one quick (or at all) from Amazon. I needed something quick so I got this Deck Demo Monster. It is very heavy duty and almost over designed for the job of taking up deck boards. My decking was screwed down rather than nailed and the screws were rusted in. This did the job of getting them off no problem. The only shortcomings would be that you need at least 6" of space to get it under a board and get full use of the rocker lever on back. Also, the handle could be slightly longer to give you more leverage. A longer handle would make the job much easier.But...it works.

Well made, but not the total a solution to remove deck boards.
Bought this bar at a higher price less than a month ago. The bar cost me $119 plus tax, i see the price is now $80 which is a better price. My deck is 16' by 37' and is about 32 years old, some of the boards were replaced about 10 years ago. I used 3 of the 3" long screw nails every 16" per board (floor joists on 16" centers). I have some boards that this bar will not budge the deck board at all no matter how hard i push or pull. I then have to get on my hands and knees and use different bars to get board up. One board took me over 2 hours.. The Deck Demo Monster bar i found also very tight to get over the floor joists, that makes it hard to use.

Best on the market
The big advantage of this over others is the strip of metal behind the pole, which allows you to get more leverage. This allowed us to just rip through the deck screws, and made the job a lot faster and easier.

Great tools
The Deck Demo Monster's are constructed extremely durable and easy to manuver. The time it took me to demo my 15' x 30' deck saved well more than the cost of the tools. The "L" and "V" function extremely efficent for their designed purpose. I was actually able to use the "L" monster along side of the "V" on the field boards to gane more time which in turn saved me on labor cost. If you are a novice or journeyman these are must have tools. Me being the journeyman it saved my back and keep me off my knees. Great tools.
