Stop using regular old hockey tape that wears out your gloves and doesn't give you enough grip on your stick. Use Bardownski grip tape to get a coarse abrasive feel while still being soft and conformable. Get a better grip on your stick and go Bardownski every time!

I recently rated this tape a 1 star because I did not notice any adhesive. However, there is adhesive and the tape works fine. I changed the rating to 5 star.

Meh for high grip needs
Not sandpaper style but sponge style. Prolly good for sports that wear gloves, not so much for bare hands.

Used it to wrap my steering wheel. Works better than any steering wheel cover. Self adhesive makes it seamless, and no sticky mess.
