Hutzler Garden Colander Garden Basket, large, Green

Larger than the other ones I looked at. Filled it with kale and topped off with a few green onions. See photos. It will hold over a mess - nearly 2 messes if you pack it in just a little. Handy, light and flexible. It is very easy to wash greens in the colander by dipping it, filled with the greens, into a just a little larger container filled with water and vegetable wash. Then set aside to let it drain. It would be nice if they had a larger size so that I could pick more vegetables at a time. It beats a large bowl or bucket because it is lighter and flexible. Holds a Lot of Greens, Light, Flexible, Handy, Durable, Very Easy To Use, Good Price & Great. What else do you want? Someone to pick and wash your greens.

2nd one I’ve purchased- it’s great for gathering garden produce, cleaning the produce or storage. In the winter I store onions and potatoes in them. Very sturdy and well made.

This is a well made product. It is a nice large size, sturdy and not a soft bendy type plastic. It’s more on the rigid end keeping its shape to stand up even when empty. Bought as a gift for my daughter and her veggie gardening. It’s great - does double duty to collect and wash your vegetables. You could even use it for your hand gardening tools and gloves when not in use. Highly recommend

I am just in the process of planting my small garden so I haven’t used the basket yet for picking a peck of peppers or anything else, however I’m pleased with its lightweight design and sturdiness. It’s the perfect size for handling my weekly haul of perhaps a half-dozen tomatoes, peppers and/or cucumbers and herbs. The handles will make it easy to hang along the fence while I’m loading it and the slits in the basket will keep my produce aired especially if anything has moisture on it. I like that it is easily washable.

My husband bought it for me, although at first I was against it (I wanted to continue using my plastic bowl to put all my vegetables from the garden) I come to love this piece. It is easy to carry, very durable and so easy to clean. I wish it was easier to store in the closet as it takes up a bit of space but that's OK. This will fit even the biggest overgrown cucumbers and zucchinis (and they are heavy!) Definitely recommend this!

My entire family loves this basket! We used it all summer long to collect vegetables and our eggs. My 3 and 6 year old do great with it because it's easy for them to carry without spilling anything. I loved collecting tomatoes in it because it even held the small grape tomatoes. It's extremely easy to clean. We have a special hook in our pantry that it hangs on easily where everyone in the house can reach it. We seriously used this basket twice a day this summer. I would highly recommend this basket. It would make a great gift to a backyard gardener.

I use these bags to gather fruit from the garden and other gardening needs. They are easy to cleanup. They are good for other uses too. I am happy with this purchase.

This colander is such an amazing addition to my garden must haves! I take this out to the garden grab everything I need and haul it in. I love that it has holes so I can shake off any loose dirt. The colander makes it easy to clean your fresh produce in the sink.

Wonderful garden basket. I am new to gardening, so I wanted something sturdy and small as my garden will not be that big this year. This basket is perfect for what I need. I can rinse the veggies off outside or in the sink and use this as a way to let the debris fall through. It is also very sturdy and the handles are good to hold. I would recommend this garden basket.

I have two of the larger ones and meant to buy a larger one for my friend who I was visiting in British Columbia. But I ordered a smaller one by mistake. It is the perfect size to pick cherry tomatoes and raspberries and looks great on her counter.

These garden colanders are amazing. I have several of them and use them all the time in the garden, obviously for harvesting and washing vegetables and fruit but also for collecting when I’m pruning or deadheading, etc. These are exceptional quality- the first one I bought was well used for 4 or 5 years before it cracked-and it would have lasted longer if I hadn’t left it out one winter in the sun and cold by accident (the plastic eventually UV’d out). I find them so useful I have several, including the small size, though I find this large size more useful. I have recommended and gifted these to other gardeners. Well worth the price!
