I waited a little too long to try returning this, so my bad.This book seems like it was written by a novice bartender. The most irritating thing are all the contradictions.On one page it says it's difficult to make money in this business, on another it says how profitable cocktails are.Too many of those leaves the reader confused.... "Should I open a bar or not?"

This is a handy guide for anyone who is considering starting or buying a nightclub or bar. There are a lot of things to think about when starting this kind of business, and this book covers it all, even things you may not have even thought about. For example, the book mentions details such as the best types of lighting to use for different areas of the building. There is a section of the book that is about legal issues and licenses. This book also explains some differences between a nightclub/bar and a normal restaurant. There are many good things to learn from this guide. I did notice several spelling and grammatical errors, but other than that, it's a good book.

This a basic "How to" type business book that concentrates on how to open a bar or a club. The author has some experience in the bar business, it shows in his ability to explain various bar operation. I never knew there are words like "pour cost" but makes sense once you read it. I think it is a good place to start when brainstorming the process and doing your research. Obviously, if you're planning on opening a bar, you couldn't just open it with only this book, but I think each of the chapters gives you a good outline and overview of each steps to go by when you are in that planning phase. If you are looking into opening a bar, this is a must-read for you.

Bar and pub businesses are the ones that survived and even thrived during the second world war, so naturally, they are here to stay. I believe that people find comfort sharing drinks in social settings like the ones seen in Cheers sitcom. I have been thinking about opening something like what I saw in Cheers for the longest time. After reading through this book, I think it is doable and not just a dream anymore. The author shared a lot of information about how to get started on the right foot.

I loved how the author went into actual mathematical problems to help on alcohol sales and inventory! Great book for an amateur starting out for the first time on venturing into opening a nightclub! I think the book could have included more in depth with the entertainment part of owning a night club like dance floor suggestions and designs, or audio and lighting

A good book covering various topics of how to start operate and successfully run your bar nightclub also increasing margins will definitely recommend

This seemed like it had some good tips here and there, but was not a technical book. It was a dude telling you what he feels... Short on data/stats/facts, but full of great stories. Not horrible, just was looking for much more. They types on the Table of Contents turned me off, but I vow to finish it.

I've never seen so many typos in a book. Whoever edited it should re-consider their career... Additionally, don't waste your money on this. Everything in here is basic info and can easily be found in a quick google search.

Assolutamente da non comprare. Consigli banali tagliati su realtà americana. Non sembra nemmeno un libro, ma appunti scritti con un' interlinea largissima per aumentare il numero di pagine. Volevo regalarlo, ma lo restituirò
