What is the net free area of each 53mm vent. In order to calculate the right amount of vents needed for a space we need to know the net free area.

Because the diameter of each small hole is 3mm, the calculated area is 7.0685mm², and there are 61 small holes, so the total net free area is 431mm².

For soffit installation, will these press fit into hole and stay there upsidedown ?

I used a clear silicone to keep them in place. My soffit is wood and some hole sizes were slightly larger and some were really tight.

The circumference for both front & back are posted , but what is the depth of the 53mm? And if it doesn’t fit, what is the return policy?

The total height of the vent is 12mm, depth of bottom is 8mm, if not fit, according to current policy, you can return in 30 days after received.

What size circle drill would i need ?

Because the installation bottom of the soffit vent is 53mm, you should use a 53mm hole drill to drill.
