This was the first time I did a screen replacement. I watch three videos on it and it seems to have worked out. The negative about this kit is the lack of glue. I reccomend buying a tube of glue to go with this.

I'm editing this review at a later date.And btw this is HTC-10 is now my backup phone.When I first installed the screen and booted up the phone, the touch sensitivity was pretty hit & miss, to the point of being virtually unusable. And that's what I based my mostly negative review on.But months later I booted up again, and everything seems fine. I can't detect any problems anymore, although I haven't put the phone into regular use though.But as much as I can tell, and test, the screen seems to be responsive everywhere I touch it.If this had been my first experience with it I'd have said right off it's a great screen.Not sure how it "healed" itself exactly, if that's what really happened.Perhaps the motherboard, etc took a while to accept it and work with it ?= = = = =These were my previous comments :The screen looks pretty nice but the touch sensitivity is so hit & miss it's almost unusable.The middle of the screen is just Ok, but especially at the bottom, it is sometimes totally unresponsive.You can touch a keyboard character several times in a row with no response.And touching something at the top of the screen often activates something a few millimeters away.Another reviewer had the same experience.It's particularly galling as surgery on an HTC-10 is complicated and dicey, not something you want to do again.It basically renders the phone as a backup emergency phone.<END of previous comments>= = = = = =

I thought my expectations were already pretty low. I figured a screen replacement with imperfect colors or a little backlight bleed was in the cards. But after hours of tedious disassembly, adhesive cleanup, fresh adhesive trimming & application, testing, and reassembly I realized it's much worse.I first noticed the differences in the components used. The SMDs they used were shaped different and looked cheaper. I figured "as long as it works, I don't really care". Well, it turns out those differently shaped SMD components caused clearance issues. The bottom-left corner of my screen will not stay adhered to the inner-frame. I can press it back into place, but it's still proud along the edge where the ribbon with the inline SMDs pass behind the backlight.Then there's the mask on the glass. It's missing a chunk in the corner which results in a bright light constantly shining from the corner of the screen which is no fun when looking at content that's meant to be darker.Then there was the scuff on the insulative coat that had exposed copper traces. It wasn't the end of the world, because it's now covered by kapton, but it still shouldn't have been sold like that.Lastly, the touch screen performance is a little off. Near the corners of the screen, the touch indicator shows up beyond where my finger actually is, and it often mistakes quick swipes for taps (probably less sensitive circuitry that results in a shallower threshold for registering touches).I'm really bummed, because I love my HTC 10, and I wanted to go back to it from my Galaxy S8. But an attempt to give it new life has resulted in a phone that's less useable and less water & dust resistant than it was with a cracked screen.

Good product, with all the accessories ready to install.

First time was defective. I started a replacement claim and2 days passed and got the replacement. 2nd time product worked 100%. Great productor.I would buy this again.Make sure display cables are not bent, as some sellers will wrap the screen too tightly. Not something that happened to me with this product, but for passed experiences.
