Jyoti Masala Chhole, 6 pouches of 10 oz each, All Natural, Product of USA, Gluten Free, Vegan, NON GMO, BPA Free, Halal

Our local grocery store used to carry Jyoti and then one day they were gone. My son and I love to make some white rice and pour the chickpeas on top (because that’s what this package is, chickpeas in a fabulous sauce). It is not spicy like you may envision Indian food being, and not in your face salty like a find most packaged foods. We also buy the channa daal, Mung Daal, and the Saag Paneer (spinach and chunks of cheese).I’m not Indian so I can’t vouch for the authenticity, but my 12 year old son (who has always loved trying new foods) and I think these are a great quick meal when I don’t have time to cook from scratch.

I love these...the flavor is really nice and it’s great with rice. Some I just want a vegetarian meal and this is perfect. I first purchased these at a store that was going out of business and I eventually looked them up on Amazon and was delighted that they sell them in a 6 pack. I actually didn’t realize the pouches are non-microwaveable even though that’s the way I’ve heated them up. When I do that the chickpeas pop like popcorn and make a mess so from now on I’ll put them in a bowl and microwave them. I only wish the sodium content was less but when I cook rice I don’t add any sodium. I just ordered more.

I am contacting you as a regular customer with concerns. I have been purchasing your food for a couple of years now. The last several pouches of Paneer Saag and Masala Chhole have had human hair in the food. The pieces of hair that I found were not plant fibers. I have attached a photo of a piece of human hair in the Masala Chhole. I am sad to say I will not purchase your products in the future.Colleen

i found these while searching for tasty bites madras lentils. i love that stuff and stock up @ costco any chance i get.. but i really wanted something new and wasn't willing to spend 18$ on a 6 pack of ready to heat meals (because thats extremely pricy! i pay 9.99 for a 6 pack of madras lentils @ costco)the price for this product is outstanding. the taste is definitely delicious and it's so easy to make. pour in a bowl, microwave and tada! pour it over some brown rice & your done!! (i love trader joes brown rice medley) but anything works.shipping was super quick, and i'm just really happy with the product.i would definitely recommend to my vegetarian friends out there.cheap, quick, efficient, tasty. will def purchase more in the future.

It is edible. I love Indian food. If you like Indian, well.... I won't buy it again. I will finish what I bought.
