Adds another flat space in the refrigerator
I really like these pantry bins. I bought one then two more for my small refrigerator that has minimal space and wire shelving. I have a lot of small bottles of various things like mustard, jams, etc. so every time I needed to find one of something, I had to pull everything out because, of course, what I wanted was in that country known as 'the very back of the refrigerator'. On my knees, my journey began. As I pulled each jar or container out - this was no small feat since it required me to crawl about a third way into the refrigerator - I found remnants of moldy cheese or other snack food half-wrapped in failing plastic wrap from some long forgotten get-together or small plastic containers with assortments of months-old remains of who knows what or jars leaning sideways on the wire shelves leaking their substance to the occupants below making them sticky/gooey or glued to the shelf with dried organic cement-like substance. We considered buying a new refrigerator only to find that the interior configuration would be no different than the one we now have. Couldn't buy a larger one due to the restricted space specifically for the refrigerator in our limited sized kitchen. So what to do? I like organization especially when it comes to any place that harbors various sized things that I have to shuffle around to find anything on a daily basis. The thought struck me a bit later than I wish it had." I'll look on Amazon to see what I could find to help get this refrigerator in some kind of order." First I ordered one of the covered iDesign Crisp Produce Stacking Pantry Bins along with an iDesign Divided Plastic Storage Organizer Bin Tote with Handles. When they arrived, I immediately cleared our the fridge and put some veggies in the stacking produce bin and placed it on the bottom shelf. The bin tote I used to put milk, wine and other tall bottles in on the top shelf.. The divider helps keep things even more easy to find. I was quite pleased with the results. I ordered two more covered produce bins for other veggies and things like dried fruit that normally were suffocated having been stuffed in the 'produce drawer' in order to be able to close it. Now the bottom shelf has two open bins ( I found them in town) and one of the covered produce bins( iDesign) and they look and operate like three drawers making it very easy to keep produce fresh and in sight. The other two covered produce bins by iDesign are stacked on the second shelf with the ease of seeing, retrieving and replacing them. I was so happy with things thus far so I ordered 2 mDesign narrower bins for all the smaller jars and miscellaneous small things that one doesn't use all the time, like those things that get pushed to the back and eventually rot. One of these mDesign bins - with handles! - is on the top shelf next to the divided iDesign bin with the milk, etc. The other narrower bin is on the second shelf for even more storage of smaller items. But wait!! Now the fridge is shaping up! I've got more flat surfaces to stack things with the lidded bins, I can put select produce in the fridge drawers that one time were hell-holes for rotted veggies, I can pull the bins out to see what I have then just slide them back in. But now there's those egg cartons taking up space and unable to hold much weight on top of the cartons. Solution! I ordered a Cuisinart Egg Holder with Lid and Handle and it holds 14 eggs medium, large or even xtra large. And it has a LID! Another flat surface to put that occasional plastic container of left-over pasta or what have you. I measured the freezer shelf and bought two bins with handles and now I can see what's been hiding in the freezer for months and can just pull each bin out to take out what I need and slide them back. Well, to sum, we saved about $500+ by not buying another refrigerator. Instead I spent less than $100 on these sturdy, stylish bins and I'm not wasting food like before.

large
works great, do not have to cut celery in half to fit in container like old one and its got the hard plastic lid so do not have to worry about lid or bottom cracking then leaking like old one.

Keeping my celery fresh longer
This is a great way to keep the celery fresh longer than when I did not have this container.

Not dishwasher safe!
It was fine until it was put on the top shelf of my dishwasher. It melted it so that it no longer closes. The warning was a tiny little sticker on the bottom of the container that my husband did not see and frankly I am not sure I would have either. Not recommended unfortunately.

Just as I'd hoped for
We were looking for items to help organize our new refrigerator when I bought this. It is perfect to keep celery and carrots in or really anything produce that will fit. It makes things last longer, too. I happy about this purchase.

Great for Produce, Wish They Made Different Sizes
These really help keep our celery and other produce crisp and/or fresh, which is very important to us now that celery, like other items, have gone up tremendously in cost. Many times we just buy the individual pieces of produce when we offered, such as carrots and celery. And of course, the big corporate major grocery chain in Denver area now only sells 2# bags of carrots. It is only my husband and myself and 2 pounds of carrots. Go to waste. We have an average size French door refrigerator, and the 2” crisper drawers in it can hold two of these containers and virtually nothing else. It would be nice if these came in smaller sizes so we would be able to keep smaller portions in them. We do combine what we can, but I’d jump at a chance to buy smaller sizes.

Did not like this!
I bought this to keep my celery fresh, which it did NOT! It fit well in my refrigerator and could probably be used for other items, but Not for Celery!
