seams rip easily
I love the eco-responsible aspects of this product. I didn't expect the gloves to be as rip proof as they are, so that is a plus. However, the seams seem to let loose pretty easily and quickly. I will probably buy them again, but I won't be able to use them for as much prep work as I had hoped. Thank you for making an eco-friendly product. I hope you are able to continue to improve the product as we learn more about this type of manufacturing.

Nice gloves and will buy again
I was skeptical after see negative reviews about the gloves being thin and fall off easily. After using the gloves for a few occasions for food processing, these gloves are not bad at ll. Are they perfect? No. I have a small to medium hands and the gloves are indeed kinda big for me. However, for normal food processing such as grabbing meat and chopping food that do not require precision, these gloves do a good job for keep my hands clean . For mixing, I did use them a few times. Initially they fell off easily. Later on, I discovered a trick that makes the gloves stay on your hands - simply rinse your hands, shake off water and wear the gloves. a little bit of water will create friction and make the gloves kinda stick to your hands. Given this gloves are composable and plant-based, I will keep buying them for not only keep my hands clean but also keep the environment clean.

Really good
Note that PLA is not a 'biodegradeable' plastic. It is a compostable plastic, meaning that it only degrades efficiently in compost - i.e. mixed with dirt and other organic material, plus moisture, plus bacteria. It is not made to be composted in your back yard, but in a commercial facility. We are trying to move away from plastic as much as we can. PLA is one step closer. So while this is not the perfect solution, I think it is better. The gloves fit well, and they are thicker than the inexpensive plastic gloves. They are smooth, no texture. The seams are more durable than traditional thin plastic flat gloves, and so far they have not leaked. The cuff goes up higher on the arm. Oddly, they smell like a hint of corn. Functionally these are really good.Country of origin is unknown. While Vegware is a UK company, they source materials and manufacture products 'globally' meaning that these are probably made in China.

Biodegradable? Yes but product unusable 90% of the time
Long to short: what's the point of biodegradable gloves (we compost as much as we can) if they rip out nearly every time you put them on? First, I'm a medium glove wearer in nitrile but I purchased the large size. No matter the technique I use to get them on, one side or the other rips out before the glove goes on. Second, what I received doesn't really resemble the picture on the Amazon ad. Since I don't use these a lot, I didn't give it much thought but in the year I've had them, I've thrown away 2-3 gloves every single time I tried to use them. At least. Will not buy again.

Not great for hair dyeing
Bought these because they specifically said they were good for dyeing hair. And, to be fair, they worked okay, but dye still leaked through in multiple spots on both hands. Just in case anyone else out there was looking at these for hair dye, you should probably look elsewhere.

Easily ripped
Not ideal for handling the food. Ripped between fingers while mixing the salad

Breaks too easy
I bought these gloves to handle my toddler’s food. They break so easily, not a good quality, and they don’t work for me. Very disappointing.

Only buy as a last resort
The compostable disposable gloves I normally buy were out of stock, so I opted to get these instead as I figured how bad could they be? Well, the answer to that is very bad. These are probably the worst disposable gloves I’ve ever used and it’s not bad just because they’re compostable but they are just of very low quality. You can barely get them on without ripping them and you definitely won’t be able to get through what you’re trying to do with them without ripping them. And even if by some miracle, you don’t rip them putting them on or using them, you will for sure rip them while trying to take them off. You might somehow manage not to rip them if you have small hands and you buy a size or two up but I still doubt it. I have large hands for a woman so there isn’t much room for me to go up from a large. I mostly use them for dealing with raw meat and it’s pretty much a waste of time even using them because they basically fall to pieces while you’re using it. I only bother to still wear them because I really don’t enjoy touching raw meat and I don’t have another compostable alternative. I really hope my other compostable food safe gloves come back into stock because I’d hate to have to buy these again when they run out.

Disappointed
I’ve never written reviews before but I just cannot pass this one! I was excited when I saw this biodegradable product. This item rips so fast as soon as you wear them. Doubling them does not help. Very unhappy with this purchase!

Too small and rip too easily
They fit very tight and just by inserting my hand in they rip in some seems, if I try to grab something all the finger seems start ripping, when they make contact with anything, they start ripping. Absolutely useless. Nice though but very impractical, and thus wasteful
