Does it "curdle" on the neck once dried?

No, but I advise NOT TO buy it here! I got a bad rash after using mine and noticed the expiration date had been removed from the jar. That did not happen when I bought it from a licensed seller. Amazon is not.

It is a cream. I never noticed it advertised as a mask. Perhaps it would be considered a moisture mask, but it is not something you take off. It is a wonderful product.

When does the product expire? Also it has a strong weird smell. Is that normal or has the product expired?

The expiration is a symbol on the bow, usually a picture of a jar with a number inside. The product should NOT smell. It has a very mild, pleasant smell.
