Bought this due to LSFT YouTube on how to install a trickle charger. It fits the negative and positive terminals of my car’s 12v aux battery! Yay! Item was packaged well and arrived in good time!

The M6 eyelet fit the 6mm stud on the negative post clamp that is used to tighten the battery cable to the terminal. It did not fit on the positive side for two reasons. First, the 6mm nut on the positive clamp is rounded on the bottom of the nut (so that it tightens the clamp. Second, if the horizontal bar is pulled off and the eyelet is placed under the bar then the bar wont lay flat because the insulated part of the eyelet is in the way. I worked around that by using an M8 eyelet instead, but it was still quite tight. There is a larger stud (m10 or m12?) on the positive clamp, further back, that might have been a better option, but I don't recall seeing a similar size stud on the negative. I have these connectors installed on all three of my vehicles and they are very convenient. Much nicer than using the alligator type clamps that come with the smart charger. The older connectors came with the inline fuse, but my recent purchase did not.

I have a C-TEK XS charger which I use on my motorbike over winter and when I replaced my bike early this year I must have forgotten to remove the adapter from it. The C-Tek is sold with both croc clips and the connector adapter. I ordered up a replacement set immediately I realised I'd lost mine (actually I ordered two so I could put a set on the husband's bike) and they arrived in good time and were put to use immediately. These are the smaller attachments for the smaller posts which are on the motorbike battery - I think C-TEK also sell adapters with a larger hole for car batteries. It is ideal for leaving attached permanently and for me seem better to charge rather then croc clips which could pop off, especially in the really tiny and inaccessible place the battery is housed on the BMW. The leads are well made, sturdy yet diminutive. There is a cap over the end of the plug to protect it from the elements when it is not connected to the C-TEK. I have it tucked under a bit of fairing so it cannot be seen, but it is easily pulled out to attach when the bike is in the garage. The lead is long enough for this. I have used this particular product before, when it arrived as part of the C-TEK charger purchase but is it brilliant that I was able to pick up a couple of spares for a great price and now the C-TEK spends week about attached to each bike and the change over process is quick, safe and simple which is exactly what this product is designed for.

Das CTEK Schnellkontakt-Kabel M6 nimmt seinem Anwender eine Menge Arbeit ab. Ich habe von diesen Kabeln zwei Stück im Einsatz. Das Eine ist fest installiert bei meinem Youngtimer, der über 5 Monate im Jahr abgemeldet ist und somit desöfteren nachgeladen werden sollte. Da das Auto nicht auf dem eigenen Grundstück steht habe ich mit diesem Adapter die Gewissheit, dass relativ wenig passieren kann. Die sonst üblichen Polklemmen können auch gerne mal abrutschen. Die Ringösen werden das definitiv nicht tun. Das andere Kabel benutze ich bei meinem BMW Touring, welcher seine Batterie im Kofferraum hat. Hier ist für Polklemmen zu wenig Platz. Hier gäbe es nur die Option die Batterie auszubauen, was aber für ein Alltagsfahrzeug nicht praktikabel ist oder über die Fremdstart-Punkte im Motorraum zu laden. Ich bevorzuge aber immer das direkte Laden an der Batterie und möchte nicht noch irgendwelche Kabel dazwischen haben. Die Verarbeitungsqualit des CTEK SK-Kabels ist sehr gut. Ich habe nicht den Eindruck einen dünnen Klingeldraht in den Händen zu haben. Die Kabel sind mit rot und schwarz klar ersichtlich gekennzeichnet. Entgegen einiger anderer Rezensionen passten die 6mm Ringe problemlos auf meine Batterien/Akkus. (Varta und Banner) Die Kabel bzw. DAS Y-Kabel besitzt eine ausreichende Länge. Sie ist lang genug um bei einem Festeinbau noch etwas Spiel zu gewähren um das Kabel schöner zu verlegen, ist aber ausreichend kurz um nicht wie wild im Motorraum oder im Batteriefach herumzufliegen. Sehr gut gefällt mir ebenfalls die vollkommen isolierte und wetterfest gemachte Schutzabdeckung. So kommt kein Dreck an die Kontakte, es kommt keine Feuchtigkeit rein und die Gefahr dass man irgendwo einen Kurzschluss provoziert ist praktisch ausgeschlossen. Ein signifikanter Vorteil kommt noch hinzu: Viele Autoexperten werden jetzt vermutlich die Augen verdrehen, aber ich musste beispielsweise jedesmal drüber nachdenken, insbesondere nur bei gelegentlicher Nutzung, in welcher Reihenfolge ich Polklemmen an- und abnehmen muss. Das CTEK 5.0 verzeiht zwar auch das, aber es muss ja nicht sein. Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes "Plug&Play" Gibt es etwas auszusetzen oder zu verbessern? Eher nicht. Daher volle 5-Sterne. Das "I-Tüpfelchen" wäre vielleicht noch 1-2 Klettbänder gewesen um das Kabel auch direkt im Motorraum gut verbauen zu können oder etwa 2-3 Kabelbinder. Fazit: - völlig akzeptabler Preis - hochwertige Verarbeitung - klare farbliche Kennzeichnung - angemessene Kabellänge - bombensicherer Halt an den Polen der Batterie - einfachste Anschlussmöglichkeit - gute Isolierung des Steckers und somit Schutz - nie mehr Herumhantieren mit Polklemmen bei frostigen Temperturen - Reihenfolge beim An/Abklemmen des Ladegerätes entfällt Hätte ich noch mehr Autos... jedes wäre damit ausgerüstet.
