RT-TCZ for Wrangler Spare Tire Brake Light 3rd Brake Light for 1996-2025 Jeep Wrangler TJ JK JL for Liberty 2007-2012 Rear Tail Light

This is a great quality light. It’s a nice, thick metal, not plastic like I was expecting. It fit nicely inside our 16” wheel on the back of our JKU. It didn’t come with directions, just two wires, but it’s easy to splice into the third brake light wiring. We have a tire carrier that swings separately from our gate so that was our only challenge. We bought black plastic casing and ran the wire along the arm of the carrier and left extra so there would be no snag.

Great product very bright easy to install. Buy wire loom to make it look cleaner. I had to wggle it to make it fit but i think its better to be tight anyway so if you have to remove spare it doesnt fall off

The lights came a week later than originally indicated. Came well packaged and as others have said, no instruction - but you really don't need any. Wires are stubbed out from the light assembly and a separate bundle of wire is provided. The disk is not soft material - I know because the bolt holes (jeep TJ) didn't perfectly line up and had the be opened up just a bit. The whole install, including opening up the holes, and soldering the connections took a little under an hour. The disc fits just inside the 15" wheel. Hardest part of whole job was getting the 35" spare back in place.I would suggest gluing the metal disc against the tire carrier - would prevent the rim knocking the disk out of place. Also, not sure on this, but the lights appear to be wired in series, so if one goes out, it might prevent the rest in the line from working. Again, not sure - if that happens, I'll update this review. Overall - VERY happy with final results - looks great - very bright

This spare tire brake light arrived well packed - no installation instructions or additional hardware (which is needed for install) was included, but I had anticipated that from previous reviews.The plate that the LED’s are attached to is light sheet metal and seems quite sturdy. The LED’s themselves seem good quality and the wiring and installation of the lights on the plate looks great.Once installed on the spare tire mount the wires from the lights are too short to reach the OEM wiring. Splicing of the OEM wiring is required: use T-Tap wire connectors or hard splice positive and negative wires, adding some extra wire to get the length needed to reach to the brake light wiring.Once installed, the lights look great! Overall, a really great and affordable addition!An easy 5 stars even despite the required addition length of wire and electrical connectors to complete installation.

The brake light for the spare tire is well worth the investment. Good heavy metal versus plastic.Great value for the money. After reading other reviews and watching the videos, my husband was prepared with all the necessary stuff needed, so the install went quickly, but not as easy as some say it is. He did say he was glad he had an extra set of hands. I am completely satisfied with the looks and the brightness of the lights.

I LOVE the new look of this brake light. With the larger spare tire on the back, the stock one is barely seen. This is SO much brighter and easier to see. I HIGHLY recommend this brake light if you have larger spare tire on the back. Easy to bolt right on.With Amazon Prime we were able to get this in less than 24 hours! Super quick shipping.My husband did end up removing the stock light completely, which now gives us a little more visibility to see out the back window. The tire was covering most of it up anyway. He also added new wire connectors to both ends. The wires from the factory are short to try and connect, BUT if you disconnect the stock one then it will work fine.

Metal plate is good, but would not fit 5x4.5 bolt pattern (YJ or TJ) without grinding. I also spray painted the back of the lights, as the glow into the back of the Jeep was very distracting. Now that I completed those mods, I now have a 3rd brake light again.

The media could not be loaded. The brake light fits perfect and seams very well made, it lights up nice and bright. It is fairly easy to install. Tools you will need are a set of torques, wire cutters. Also you will need to use the spare tire tools that come with your jeep. Adds a nice touch to your Jeep.

The wires in the back of the light were all lose and hanging out. Very disappointed!

Update: In less than 6 months two LED's have failed. Very dissatisfied with the quality of this accessory. I had high hopes when I recieved it for my birthday. Looked to be good quality. I was wrong.I bough this for my husband for his birthday. I read the reviews and saw all the pictures and thought I would give it a go. I am so glad that I bought this for him as he absolutely loves it. It was easy to install and it looks amazing. It fits perfect and it is super bright. You won't be disappointed.
