Love this stuff for all my terrariums

I live buying this stuff as a soil amendment for my plants. I have a lot of tropical plants and love using this stuff instead of orchid bark at times. The plants seem to love it at well. I have bought this stuff several times. I was buying it at a pet store but the cost to drive to there and back doesn't justify just going for that so finding it here is much easier and cheaper.

This is a great substrate for a wide variety of reptiles. Currently, I am using it with a baby sulcata and a 4-year-old red foot tortoise. I give the bark a good soak the night before I use it and it retains moisture very well. When it starts to dry out a bit, I add a bit of water and spray the top to keep it nice and moist. It is really easy to clean up as well and the pieces are big enough that I haven't had any issues with the reptiles eating the bark. I have also used this with a frilled dragon and a blue tegu with great success.

I buy this product very often for my crested gecko. It is a great substrate for any type of reptile. It seems to keep the smell of the reptile to a minimum and I would definitely recommend subscribing because you get it cheaper.

Very disappointed. We've been using ZooMed Repti-Bark for years, but we saw that this Exo-Terra product was on sale so we gave it a try. It's basically wood chips. Both bags have lots of sharp sticks, twigs, branches, leaves and tons of dust. The advertising says "100% Fir Bark". ****!!!!! Hey Exo-Terra - leaves and sticks don't qualify as bark, since you folks somehow don't already know. This garden mulch looks nothing like the photos either. It took over an hour to do one bag, but I had to use a pasta strainer to get the dust out, and even now I don't want to use it because of the amount of sharp sticks. I got 2 splinters while filtering the dust out from simply grabbing a handful to put in the strainer. And I'm supposed to put my animals in this? No. I'll stick to the Zoo-Med Repti-Bark. Which has never, not even once had leaves and sharp sticks in it, and we've been using it since 2011. Do yourselves and your animals a favor and spend the same amount of money on the Zoo-Med or even Chewey's version called "Frisco Fir Bark Reptile Bedding", which looks identical to Zoo-Med from the photos.

Ottimo! Ne ho usati tanti in questi anni, ma posso assicurare che questo è il migliore. È 100% corteccia di Abete, trattiene bene l'umidità e gli odori, personalmente lo uso per le tartarughe, facilità tantissimo le loro operazioni di scavo e morbito, non graffia il guscio, trattiene bene la caloria, sopratutto non lascia residui del taglio della corteccia stessa, la maggior parte degli l'altri prodotti lasciano una sorta si segatura, questo no, è perfettamente pulito, lo consiglio vivamente. Tempi di spedizione in linea con quelli previsti. Spero che questa recensione vi sia stata utile.

I though it was a medium bag. It's a small bag, my fault. It barely cover the bottom of half of my thank so I mixed with half sand. Last long, my bearded dragon love it. Give him more natural and some sensorial stimulation. Easy to clean poop and pee out of it. Careful when feeding insects to a bearded dragon if you use this for it, he can absolutely chew them or swallow them as they are small pieces. I never have problem with mine with this but always check and feed him in a large dish bowl or with tweezers.

Save yourself some money. This product is great for orchids and so much cheaper. The actual bark is 1000x better quality bark than pro mix (practically wood chips) or better gro orchid mixes. The bag is huge for the price! I’m set for a year with 40+ orchids - add some chunky perlite, horticultural charcoal (spagh if you desire) and Bobs your uncle. 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
