ORTONYX Ergonomic Umbilical Hernia Belt for Men and Women Abdominal Binder

I’ve used four different brands of hernia belts so far, this is excellent. Best so far, it is hidden beneath cloths, if you have it tight and some of you, squishes out above or below the device, I suggest trying a compression tank, it smooths everything out. It’s strong, and the elastic is very sticky and adjustable. Most of the item is ridged and only the last bit or the wrap is stretch fabric, which works great. Once you finagle the device to form to your body it lays flat and is quite passable beneath your clothing.

One of the best abdomen wraps I have found. I four hernias in my right side. So I have to try to wear some support, especially when I’m doing things. This one is very easy to put on and I don’t have to have help from my husband. I get very good support and it has a sponge on the inside which is soft and I can put it on my main hernia which helps support it the most. It gives it the comfort it needs because it is the biggest and most painful one I have. It is well worth every penny of it as far as its value. The Velcro has lasted very good and wholes tightly. While wearing it’s very comfortable and I even sleep in it some nights. It’s very durable and looks like the day I bought it. I’ve had it probably about six months. It’s true to size if you measure yourself, just go by the side that size. In fact there were 3 others I ordered at the same I ordered this one and they all did not seem to work out. Even though the advertisement showed as if they were so good. When I received them they did not have the Velcro sticking power, or I needed someone else to help. To me those are the two most important things plus comfort. If I ever have to get another one this will be it. In fact, I may order one just in case so I will know I will for sure have one. They are great.

Worked well. Will help stop some pain. Best advice I can give is get your Hernia surgery done now. I waited two and half years. Ughhh….feel so much better after surgery.

I give a 5-star rating for the belt as it's well made and fits securely with little sagging on the top and bottom. But the choices of size are way too limited. I ordered a L/XXL and it was over a foot longer than necessary. I returned it and got the only other choice, S?M, and it fits well. I am not a small/medium waist guy.. But I'm definitely not an XXL. If you're unsure, go smaller.

This hernia belt is PERFECT! I have a short waist but I have an incisional ventral hernia from a liver resection surgery and I also have an umbilical hernia. I will be having surgery soon but currently need to wear my belt full time. The belts I had were either too long or too short. They either rolled up/down or weren’t long enough to cover both hernias. I ordered this one and it not only covers both hernias, the back part of it is more narrow, making it so it won’t roll up or down, plus the boning in it helps it stay in place and not roll. It’s incredibly easy to put on, it’s comfortable, and I’m not fidgeting with it all day. It seems well made and doesn’t make me sweaty. I’m kicking myself for not ordering this one sooner. I’ll update my review if anything changes.

I don't think this belt works as well as it could. I can't get it tight enough to really hold my stomach. I give it a three because it is as advertised but just not quite what I expected for the ability to tighten (hard to pull tight enough). The velcro does hold where you can get it.

I recently learned that I have an abdominal hernia and have been trying various belts and compression garments to help until my surgery. This product is by far my favorite. It's the only one that doesn't dig in or rub uncomfortably anywhere. It's also the only one that applies the right level of pressure on the hernia (thanks to the insertable, movable pad) as well as everywhere around the hernia (the others are all too tight or loose in different spots). In general, I've come to the conclusion that compression material which flexes in all directions isn't a good approach to hernias, because it spreads all around evenly, which means the hernia still has weak pressure on it compared with the rest of the abdomen, allowing things to bulge through the hernia. In contrast, this product works because it can be adjusted to apply the right level of pressure on and off the hernia. I definitely recommend it. Some notes, in case they apply to others: 1. I have sensitive skin that is easily injured by rubbing, so I wear a camisole under this. I haven't had any problems that way, so others might be fine with this on their skin. It can also be worn over clothing. 2. I have a herniated disk in my lower back, which means this belt covers that area, too. As long as I position the belt correctly, so it covers that whole part of my back instead of half of it, I find it helps the back, too. 3. So far, I've only worn this during the day. It seems a bit bulky for night use (not that it's bulky per se - it's actually very good for products of its kind, but they're all inherently bulkier than pajamas), but since I haven't found anything else that works at night, I might give this a try. If it works, I'll update this review.

Good quality but not suitable for my "big round belly" it slides down and presses the hernia in the wrong place causing pain.

Like the comfort it’s extremely comfortable does what I need has made a massive difference to my life only thing is it needs more Velcro fastenings I did add extra Velcro fasteners which makes the belt more secure Many thanks
