DC Power Jack with Board and Cable Dell Inspiron Power Board with DC Jack and USB This item is in excellent condition. Compatible Models: โผ DELL 1545 P/N: 48.4AQ03.021 Review: Complicated install, but works great - As everyone has stated, you have to completely disassemble the laptop to replace this part. There is a very helpful Youtube video on the Internet that walks you through it step by step. Use the video, and pause and rewind as necessary. Label each set of screws on a sheet of paper to make sure you get the right screws back into the right holes. While this is not a Genuine Dell part, it is an exact match, and fit perfectly and workmanship seemed fine on my part. The laptop would not charge the battery, and eventually, the charging port broke altogether. It is possible to replace just the charging port by soldering on a new plug, but this option seemed easier. Just take your time with the disassemble and reassembly and you'll be fine. The part works great and the laptop has been restored to life, and the battery now charges. One other recommendation, replace the CR2032 BIOS battery at the same time if it's a few years old, since it's on the motherboard and not easily replaceable otherwise. Review: Works great - I was a little hesitant when i ordered this because my original one had a round power connector end. But i ordered it anyway with a new power cord and battery. I installed it and it worked just fine. no issues at all. I have plenty of experience with repairing laptops. It's not hard to replace the part but you do need to take out the system board to do it. So there is a lot of disassembly, clear work area is a must and there are some videos on line. You'll need a number 0 and 1 phillips screw driver and a small flat head a pen type magnet is also helpful, you can buy them at radio shack or Sears. Don't buy cheap ones you'll strip screws.Pay attention to the connectors, the keyboard mouse and power board connectors are ZIF and you just need to flip up the black ZIF lock and slide the cable out. The video connector just pulls strait up. When removing the screws for the top cover on the keyboard side use a marker to indicate where the scews go do the same for the 4 system board screws. In some of the videos that i saw they have you removing the processor and the WLAN card. It really is not necessary but you will need to disconnect the antenna wires from the WLAN and snake them through the top because you need to remove the LCD assembly (not difficult). WLAN has 2 wires one black and one grey, take note where they connect, they are push on type connectors and do take a little bit of force to put them back on. Hope this helps.

Fits and works perfectly on Dell 1545
This fits my dell 1545 perfectly. This item saved me $400-600. I was going to buy a new laptop until I came across this product! Taking apart the laptop takes some time, only due to me being very careful so I didn't break any parts. 1 hour later... I have a laptop that will charge again. Get this product if you're getting "Plugged In Not Charging." This will solve the problem at a minimal cost.

What was Dell thinking?
If you're at all comfortable with laptop repair, or PC for that matter, then you can do this. Watch a YouTube video to get the idea, and make sure you keep track of the parts! Process aside, this part works like the original. Octagonal power plug...why?

So-So Quality. Excellent Customer Service from DoRight!
I got this to repair a Dell Inspiron that wouldn't charge or run off the AC adaptor. I suspected the charger board had gone bad so I bought another one. This isn't an OEM Dell part. It's not even a name brand, but a one-hung-lo Chinese clone. It appeared to be relatively well-made, but I could tell it had lots of hand-soldering that wasn't done very well. There was flux all over the joints for the ethernet jack and solder mask. The joints were sound, but sloppy. I compared it to the genuine Dell and I could tell the quality wasn't up to par. But looks aren't everything. It cost under $10 and I am sure it worked, just it didn't work in my situation as it turned out to be another problem (motherboard). 3 stars for the part, 5 stars for the customer service. I got a full refund the same day I filed my claim! Great customer service from DoRight! Buy it from them.

Solid buy
Purchased for a client. Not the easiest piece to replace, but it was cheap and shipped quickly. The laptop wasn't charging while plugged in, but works just fine now.

New power charger board got my ex g/f back up and running
I have nothing at all bad to say about this product. She had previously spilling her drink on the laptop. It wouldn't turn on nor indicate charging,.. I 1st replaced the mother board. I really wished had ordered both at the same time. I discussed it with her, as a customer and she just didn't have the $$ nor an income at the time. I did enjoy having it 3 weeks for free before she picked it up! There were no catches to installing this little board except to secure the connection to the m b itself. It is still a nearly complete R&R of the machine. Thank you Geeks dot com for finding or sending me to Amazon :)
