This expandable shelf is exactly what I needed. I wanted it for the far side of a closet to store some extra items and keep them off the floor. It’s simple to install and seems quite sturdy. The tension poles adjust well, and it feels like it isn't going to slip or go anywhere. It does come with these extra peel-off sticky things you could use for additional support, but I didn't find them necessary. I also like that you could put hangers on it if you wanted to or put the plastic sheet over the bars if you are concerned about tiny items falling in between them. In terms of aesthetics, you can tell it's an adjustable shelf. There is the white plastic part where the two sets of bars connect, and those white knobs to adjust it are quite visible. It’s not seamless like most normal shelves are. However, for someone like me who is not particularly good at installing things with drills and such, especially in tight spaces, this is great. And seeing that it is at the far end of the inside of a closet, it doesn't really matter. I’ll take function and ease of installation over form.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a really great shelf, but because of some review saying it was weak in the middle, I measured my space to be 37 inches and therefore got the larger shelf, so there was as much overlap in the center of the shelf with the metal as possible. The directions are terrible so I made a video. You need a drill to pre-drill the holes and you need to know that the bolt comes off and slips into a little hole on. That’s how it tightens. Also, make sure when you measure it you measure it with it at its shortest distance at the tightening end so that when you tighten it, you can get it to the perfect tension. Anyway, I made a quick video for you. There’s no way this is coming down. It’s very strong but you have to do it right

This fits perfect for our RV closet-stayed attached while driving with hanging clothes. Instructions a little confusing but simple enough to figure out.

These press against the walls. If you use more than one on the same walls, it could cause a problem.

These crappy shelves don’t stay put, the adhesive sucks . They have fallen twice on my head now…… buy from Aldi, better quality

I was worried from reviews how this would work, but it's perfect and strong.Someone said you needed to drill holes, but you don't. After you get the size you need, just make sure the bolt is in the little slot then when you tighten the screw, it will go into the metal.I measured and went just a few mm smaller and then twisted the extenders to get a tight fit.The cheap measuring tape isn't accurate, so whatever you use, only use it.I also put it away from the wall so I could put bigger boxes on it.

I used this in my laundry room. So far I have been able to hang 15-20 shirts and stack folded clothes on top. I’m very pleased.

Just about 6 feet and holds a bit of weight, the trick is measure it just shy of the actual length and you can then make it plenty tight..also there is a video someone posted saying predrill holes…no need the screws are self tapping…use a level to get it straight and your good to go! If your curious the white cabinet is pull out iron board also a must have!
